Discussion: Ninja 500 SE or ZX4RR?
Other than cost, I am trying to decide what to buy.
I know I will not track due to missing a kidney and cant afford to push that hard. My 300 is not as fun to ride as it once was (limited power in lower gears, hate it). 4RR will need frame sliders and led lights; both need suspension work. Thoughts?

No tracking? I'd go 500, no contest. It'll be more fun overall, on the road.

I think you just need to buy whatever bike you desire more. Objectively, as a multi-purpose trasportation device the 500 is a better choice than the 4RR. The 4RR objectively is a better "sports" motorcycle.
But if you REALLY want to experience the most "sport" of the sportbike - then the track is the place. Since that is not an option for you, the additional "sports" of the 4RR may not be all that accessible. *I would venture that riding on the street at a pace that would really allow the 4RR to shine would be less safe than the track but YMMV* The new 500 takes everything that was so great about the 400 and adds a little torque and useability on the street in an updated package.

My days of pushing limits of a bike are gone, for now. I love the 4rr but I will never use the lap timer or spme of the other features as intended.
I do plan on all day rides with 400+ mile days.
