You should have wrote rescheduled in the title. Gave me a scare there, I thought it was just going to be skipped this year, but it is just being rescheduled towards the end of the season.

The article says because of the current circumstances in Europe, they are re-scheduling the race in October (race 14). Next MGP race scheduled is May 2nd @ Jerez.

With the current volcanic situation even the re-schedule is tenative. There has been some negotiations to see if they can bring it to Daytona if the atmospheric polution still exists.

I can't give anyone a place to stay but if you want me to get tickets in advance, start sending me money.

But are you serious about it possibly being moved to Daytona?

Rumors are circulating that the volcanic ash could possibly affect all racing in Europe this summer (F1, WSB, MotoGP). If the sanctioning bodies can't find alternative tracks this could go down in history as the season that never happened. They are looking for suitable tracks in the US, Canada, and South America.

If anyone has any suggestions PLEASE send your nominations to each organization. I have already submitted Daytona, Laguna Seca, Barber, Road Atlanta, and the new track in New Jersey. Remember these tracks have to have access, seating, popularity, and be in great condition.

This could be a great year to watch your favorites right in your own back yard.

There is even rumors of the 24 hours of Le Mans be cut back to 7 1/2 hours.
