I hadn't heard that before, but it would be interesting if it was in the same frame. I'll be gettin me a 400 motor, hehe.

If the EX500 gauge cluster fits in the fairing even halfway well, I might just do the swap as a project in the next year or so. 'course, a kit would be a dream come true, since it'd get me out and tearing around on it faster. HUGE respect to Sportisi for doing this! |

I noticed the fairing was modified near the bottom, overall pretty impressive how well it fits in there. My biggest concern would be the frame handling that kind of power, let us know how it runs.

I don't care about the hp number, but the torque is sweeeeeet!
Too bad this package seems to fit like ass under the fairings... Is it just me, or are the fairings pushed outside like 2 inches? |

that just goes to show how much a new 500R (or whatever size they want to make it) is needed. I want one now. Seems like a really solid bike. The 650R is a nice bike, but it does just feel bigger and heavier than a 250R by far. Something like this would fill that gap nicely.

Let's not forget that bprayogo/Sportisi is also known for their aftermarket fairings! Perhaps there can be a kit with these too, customized to fit, of course. That could help justify to cost and effort, especially if someone is overhauling a crashed bike.

Lol, by 6K rpm the 500 is producing more hp than the 250 does at peak, not to mention the torque.

I don't, but I can totally pretend on the Internet! A little TIG welding's easy stuff, though. What were the top two challenges putting it together if you're starting with a full donor EX500?

Top engine mounts need to be narrowed. Alignment of the sprockets. There is an electrical trick as well.
