Took her for a spin, drove like a hooligan. We're both coming to terms with our upcoming nature enforced separation (winter). I'm gonna miss her

well, I haven't slept yet, so i count it as today (9/24)... I rode my bike home from the dealership for the first time, then took it through 50 miles throughout the day to/from work, school, and my friends' houses. i am still shaking with excitement.

Installed some 5000k HIDs. I put HIDs in my car last week and now the bike has them too.

Took her to/from work. It was a really nice day and I was very proud of myself of how much better I'm getting with my riding techniques with everyday commuting

I keep telling my wife I need a second bike for when the 250 goes down for maintenance. I even told her another 250 would do nicely. For some reason she doesn't agree with me.

Yeah, I'm fine, thankfully. My leathers saved my a$$. There were many factors that led to my moment of humbling disgrace, but rather than blame everything but myself, all factors boiled down to me not looking far enough through a decreasing radius turn. I take full blame and am pretty pissed off at myself. That was NOT the corner of choice on which to break my good habits of mountain riding. Crap luck. I still have my Big Ninj to putt around on through town and on weekend country rides. We're going to buy another Lil' Ninj because that bike is my preferred mountain companion, and we ride mountains very frequently. So sad to have totaled the first bike of mine and my hubby's. So thankful to be absolutely ok after what could have been pretty devastating.

I don't think she can as they don't really exist. I say she should live a little and get a fast green one.

i stripped my bike naked to inspect my recent purchase and to debate what i should do with it since almost every panel has scratches and two have bad cracks...

but this is only day 2 for me...

oh yeah, and i bought her a rear brake rearset... since the previous owner snapped it off and decided he didn't need his rear brake nor a foot peg to rest on for two years...

LOL! My Big Ninj was red and we painted it yellow. No offense to the unbeatable speed of the green and red ones (lol!), but I'm hoping to stick with blue (unless hubby finds me a pink or white one! )

Kevin, Blood Mountain is a stretch of Hwy 129 south of Blairesville. Blood Mountain is the highest peak on the Georgia section of the Appalachian Trail and the sixth-tallest mountain in Georgia. I rode my baby the 2 hours home after hubby gave it an inspection. After flying off into a deep ditch and wedging himself between a rock and a tree, he cranked right up on back of the tow truck. With a kinked exhaust and a bent steering column, the "Lil' Ninj that Could" made it home with very little decrease in HP and no overheating issues. Since the steering column is bent, it's pretty much a goner.

Hope you guys have a beautiful, fall day! Thanks for all the encouragement and well-wishes!

Ally, I see why you painted your other ninja yellow. YELLOW is the most rare AND definitely the fastest. Women do love the YELLOW more. It is very dangerous though as I find many supermodels throw their bras at me as I drive by. It has been something that I have learned to get use to.

What did I do with my ninja today...nothing. It's under the front porch watching the rain come down.

Installed a Corbin seat (thanks green09se!). Took it for a ride and somehow it rained in San Diego. Only for 10 minutes though, but everyone around me were shocked (there was even some thunder which I haven't heard in years). Saw a few convertibles stuck in the short rain too

Debating on mounting my new tires and installing brake pads today, but feeling lazy. Weather is back to normal at sunny and 70's.

I only got about half an hour on it before it started downpouring. It only rained for about 5 minutes but I still got all soaked in mesh gear.
First impressions is I do like the flat and wider seat. It does feel firmer but I do know it'll form to my defined derriere
I changed clothes so I'm headed out for a longer ride.

well, it does get better with age and after breaking it in to conform to ones own "lines", the seat becomes second nature and you don't even notice it after owning it for awhile. You made a wise purchase if you spend a lot of time in the saddle. You'll love it!

It's been raining pretty hard on and off in the Mira Mesa area today. I got out and rode in it three times already and I still have errands to run.

Yea, I'm just not meant to ride it for long today I guess. 10 minutes of sunshine and then it started downpouring again. I was gonna ride it out, but the rain pellets actually hurt Now that I'm home again, it's sunny...mother nature is such a tease!
I decided to mount my BT 016's tomorrow so I'll post pics then.
