I guess it would depend on the type of riding you do... I commute, sport-tour and hit some twisties on the weekends. Had em on my 2008 for a year now and love em, they sit you up a bit and to me that makes the ride more comfy. A good cheap mod that takes 10 minutes to install.

I'm going to have to look into the bar risers since I'm going to be commuting quite a bit on the bike. They're a pretty nice looking piece, too. But I haven't ridden the bike enough to form an opinion on that sort of thing yet.
Added the clear tank pad but I don't think I need to post a pic since we already know how good it looks! Waiting on my reflective white rim stripes to come in. I'll be putting them on over the stock stripes so I can always go back. Want to keep the visibility up so these will effectively be replacements for the stock reflectors I've removed. EDIT: decided to add a pic anyway Last futzed with by warlord; March 1st, 2011 at 06:45 PM. |

Rode our 2011 with the new 15/42 gears...
My 2008 with pipe/jet kit and 15/42 is perfect, no lugging anywhere and pulls strong. Our 2011 stock with 15/42 is too tall. I'm going to put the rear back to stock and test it out as 15/45 as wife doesn't want an aftermarket exhaust (or jet kit). |

Added Hella Supertone horns... 139 dB of German designed goodness.... Had to wrap the headers so wires wouldn't melt.
Actually, this was few days ago. Today I took a 50 mile ride after lunch. Just because it was a nice day, and I could. |

I have Hella Supertones on my car and they're nice and obnoxious. Just FYI, they're 118dB and haven't been made in Germany since early 2007. I know you specifically say designed and not made though. |

You know, I cleaned mine last time I went home, chain and rims too. I was grounded so I couldn't tell if it got any faster, but I'm sure she is.

Got the LCD BacPac for my GoPro HD, should make it easier to setup and see exactly what I'm shooting for this next riding season

they also have a battery bacpac that can essential double your battery power time. I've been thinking of that instead. Push the record button and just ride for hours while recording everything that happens.
let me know how you like the LCD bacpac once you live with it for awhile. |

FIrst, I installed the Evotech Fender Eliminator. After confirming that local laws didn't require anything I'd be eliminating, deciding to get rid of the ugly plastic proboscis was an easy one. Deciding how to do it was tougher. Forum mod extraordinaire Alex makes a compelling argument for a self-help strategy cutting the existing fender. His easy method, the cost (free) and the good-looking results, certainly make it a great option. However, I want to keep the stock parts in tact to aid in sale and allow modification back if needed. The Evotech is a good product, better than the Targa imho. The marketing photos don't do it justice. Attention to detail is good, the OEM lights fit perfectly into CNC openings, good instructions, etc.
Then put on (three screws isn't really an install ) the Evotech Exhaust Hanger Bracket. The bracket is a perfectly machined, solid product and I like the look. Finish is perfect, design is perfect, happy I made the decision to go with them. Next up, intalling my Area P QC and Dynojet kit. I'm kinda nervous about rejetting . . .

Haha I feel your pain! I did an oil change, cleaned my chain, put it on stands, and put a cover on it, even though it sits in a garage.
