Group Buy for Plug and Play Flush mount LED turn signals
I want to see if there is interest for a group buy on these LED Front turn signals. I saw them on Wayan's thread for his group buy on misc stuff from his corner of the world and really liked them. They're the Kymoto triangular signals. By themselves they require some extra work to fit them onto our new gen 250's. The threaded pipe it has is too short as well as the wiring is short about 10". If there is enough interest, I can put together a kit that would make this completely plug and play. It would include the turn signals, an extension for the threaded shaft, a new nut & washer, and soldered wires with a factory style harness to plug into the bike.
Here's what the original kit comes with: Here's what I'm proposing: Pricing: 1-5 people: $45 shipped in the US / International would be extra 6-10 people: $40 shipped in the US/ same as above Time: It would take about 2 weeks for the supplies to arrive and a day for me to make them. Each signal would be tested for functionality before shipment too. Shipping would be by usps priority mail. So I would say 3 weeks from the time you send payment. The one thing I'm not including is the Electronic Flasher Relay. I used a Tridon EP34. It has 3 pins. You just hook up the oem harness to pins B and L and run a ground wire for E. I did this, but you can choose to get a 2 pin relay as well. The relay is required but can be purchased from any auto parts store. If you want the same relay I used, I can include it (with a ground wire attached) at my cost which is $13. This is it guys. I have 2 spots left for the GB. If anyone else wants them at this price, speak up now. I'll leave it open until the end of next week. After that, normal selling price will be $60 shipped in the US. Full Kit Orders 1. Sarapacman99 - Charlie + EF Relay 2. Platypus42 - Tyler 3. har0ld - Harold + EF Relay 4. caliente103 - Hector 5. GeneJunkie - Cindy 6. BlackNinja - J 7. cool runnings racing - Kevin 8. kaiserz- A.D. + EF Relay 9. gfloyd2002 - Floyd + EF Relay + ZX-2R - black decals. 10. Liquidtoon - Josh 11. Bish - Bish + EF Relay +$13 shipping to UK 12. oroboros - Drew + EF Relay 13. Shaol1n Monk - Jae + EF Relay 14. Signals Only Orders 1. sledneckrider - Jordan + 250R + ZX-2R - White decals

I'm not sure if its just me, but the left doesn't look like it sits the same direction as the right side. It doesn't look symetrical to me.

Haha. Good catch. The blinker is just rotated so I could take pictures to illustrate that you could position them in either direction.

I'm interested. I think I like the look of the Protons a little more but I have a small crack in the plastics on the right side (from the PO) and this would cover it up mostly. Plus, these cost less...

You should add some epoxy to the back of the crack so it doesn't get bigger.

Yup, I had it off and put a bead of ABS cement on the back. Its not bad but there are a few chips in the paint that could be covered by the flush mount. I'm not all ocd about it. I got a great deal on a very low mileage bike with the typical "fell over in the garage crack"

Cool. Well, I'll have to see what kind of response I get about the LED's. If there's not enough interest, I don't want to spend money buying a bunch and having it collect dust. I can still make the required adapter and sell it in a kit with the oem style harness so people can do it themselves.

That could be arranged as well. It would probably be $28 shipped.

Since it is LED, does it require some modification on the wiring?

Right. The $40-$45 price includes the flushmount blinkers with an extended oem style harness, my adapters, and necessary hardware.
No modification necessary to the wiring with the stock rear lights and the front LED blinkers. You will need to purchase a new electronic Flasher relay for them to work right. The new relay will future proof your bike in case you want to add in additional rear LED's. Some bikes may require the Diode Mod if you add rear LED's. I don't have them, so I wouldn't be able to tell you if it's needed or not.

It seems like they would be hard for someone to see who was looking at your bike dead on. Can you maybe post a picture like in the second set but with them flashing?

Yeah, I can take a pic today when I get home. The really nice thing about them is for people like me who commute on the freeways. The people on the sides of me will be able to see my blinker when I'm changing lanes. The front facing oem blinkers don't help at all. I could always add in a strip of LED's in the front fairing on each side that would blink amber as well.

No problem I have had no problem on the street with visibility so far. The are bright at night too. They literally light up whatever is next to you, even the interiors of MP cars who are in the inside left turn lane at the intersection

Thanks Dan!
OK. Let's start a list. I should be getting an invoice from the supplier tomorrow and will get the ball rolling. I'm going to offer the signals with and without the kit. Pricing will be $28 shipped without the kit/ $45 shipped w/P&P kit for 1-5 people/ $40 shipped w/P&P kit for 6+. I'm going to list names for people who said they're definite. Please let me know if you just want the signals or the full kit as well. Thanks! Also, for those that want the full kit, if you order early and I end up selling 6+, I will refund you $5. 1. sledneckrider - Jordan 2. Platypus42 - Tyler

Ok. I did a video of the blinkers in my garage with all the lights on to show what it should be like during the day. It was cloudy and rainy today so I couldn't get a good video of it on a sunny day. Also got some more pics. Enjoy

Though they look good, I don't think they fit the style of the bike so I'll pass. I'd like to see what they look like with the triangular black area painted to match the bike (or installed on a black bike). That may hide the clash a bit.
