My first time at Buttonwillow pics
I did my 2nd trackday at Buttonwillow and I wrecked on Sunset my third session 2nd lap. My front end tucked. Are they're better tires than bt-003?
Here's some pics before the crash. |

We race the BT003s. Use BT003R front (120) and BT003RS rear (140). Never had a slippage/tucking issue. Tire pressure is critical on the track, what were you running?

Nice white track suit. What brand is it? How did your gear handle going down?

I guess I'll move up to the 120 in the front then. For tire pressures I was running... 27 cold in the rear and 29 cold in the front. |

I'm pretty sure the flappers (feel like a pro) bikes are using 110's up front, but some have moved to Pirellis rather than the b-stones.

A BT003RS is a great tire for Buttonwillow, and can run at lap record speeds. Its likely that another factor caused your crash, such as cold tire temps, running over a rough patch of track (there are many at Bwillow), or loading the front in the wrong spot (easy to do). Great pics!

i was told 25/25 for the bridgestones-they are ok for smooth surfaces, but at buttonwillow i also had a problems with bump sliding and the front tucking-switched to supercorsas-front is a 110 but unfortunately rear only comes in a 150-tire pinches on rim, feels kind of stange handling wise, but stick like crazy and absorb the bumps way better-some guys are using the supercorsa front with the bridgestone rear with good results-i do like the feel of the bridgestone rear so i think i'm going to try that combination

Have you thought about getting clip-on handlebars? Your upper body looks like it could be leaned off the bike a lil-more, reducing lean angle.
Excellent shots and great suit White suits look the best

After having tried both the bridgestones and (for the first time this weekend) the michelins, the pirelli supercorsa sc1 is for sure the best tire in a 110 size for the ninja. BT-003rs grip is definitely below either the pirelli or michelin, and the michelin feels almost "bouncy" even after airing down. I'd say that the michelins and pirellis have comparable grip, but the pirelli offers much better feel and predictability for the same price. I ran the BT-003 rear tire for a long long time and never had problems so go with that, since I'm not sure I like how the 150 rear michelin is holding up.
Hey now that your stock bodywork is trash, get some race plastics and come race with CVMA |

Good stuff man! Get rid of the stock exhaust and if you're still running stock peg get rid of those and replace them with adjustable rearsets.

Basically the ultimate budget combo I think, since both the pirelli and michelin 150 rear tires are more expensive and their extra grip may not be worth it. |

just be careful, with the stickier tires and stock suspension, you're eventually going to hit the kickstand & sensor mount, and the results are ugly. Take them off and you'll get a little more clearance before a track day.
