Help Getting Chain/Sprocket back on
Hello - I'm in the middle of the front sprocket change and all has gone well to this point. But I can't seem to get the new 15T on with the chain (I'm using the original chain. Can anyone offer pointers how to do this?
With sprocket on chain first I cannot get the sprocket over the crankshaft and with sprocket on crankshaft I can't seem to get enough slack in the chain. Any help appreciated. |

take off the back wheel. Re-install the front sprocket. It's easier to get the rear on.

Thanks guys. I didn't end up removing the tire, instead it slid forward enough to fit the chain. I didn't have time to properly adjust chain slack, I just aligned the rear wheel using the swingarm notches/guides.
The ride home was a little unsettling since I knew I had not properly adjusted the chain slack and alignment. Took my time and noticed that one of the two or both are definately off. As far as the 15T sprocket goes, it is awesome. Bike should've come this way originally. Acceleration feel smoother - more linear and rpms are down about 1000rpms on highway cruising. Loving it, just a little anxious now about getting my chain and rear wheel corrected. Mo sprocket teeth mo problems |
