^^ when I installed mine last summer, I didn't worry about doing anything to the lines. When I replaced the brake lines with SS lines over winter, I took the chance to trim an inch or so off the line from the rear master reservoir to the brake pedal since I already had emptied the lines during the install.

That's why I've been using USPS these days. The price isn't bad, and it's only 3 days to the west coast. AND... it moves on Saturday. UPS has been getting slow, and it stops on the weekend. SO... it could be as long as 8 days to the west coast.

Basically... just use either the long or short rod, and the coupler nut to lengthen the shifter as needed. There isn't a "Back and white" answer since you have to adjust it for the different mounting positions.

I put mine on the highest and to the back and didn't notice any problems with my brake lines. I'm having some adjustment issues with my shift linkage but I think I just need to play with it a bit more

EDIT:
Nevermind, the nut that locks the shifter in place wasn't tight enough I guess. All sorted out now. So that this isn't a empty post, here are some pictures (Note, bike is dirty! Replacing chain this weekend as well)

I am almost positive Dr. H will let you in on this but the official date for the group buy was over last Friday. So don't feel bad if you don't get the discount.

Sadly, I've only done about 30 miles with them on and only about 10 of those were with the shift linkage properly adjusted but it feels much more comfortable when I lay on the tank. Being 6'3, the added tuck of my legs (more downward knee angle) really helps keep my leg under the tanks lines all around.
Can't wait to really give it the beans and try some twisties this weekend.

The only 'tricky' part is getting your shift linkage comfortable. It's trial and error sorta, but still not difficult. If you wanted, I can make a short video for you how to set up it. I know others are having some issues with their rear brake lines, but mine seemed ok.

The 2 long threaded rods, are to extend the shift linkages. You use whatever one is needed, depending on the position you use. The coupler nut holds the extension rod... and the 6mm nuts are used as lock nuts, so nothing comes loose.

The video is uploading right now. It's pretty rubbish but it's something. I won't be awake when it finishes but here's the link: http://youtu.be/_6cebVevwRk
YouTube says it should be live and ready by 11:30am EST though. EDIT: it's live now (can't sleep....) I applied some video stabilization using YouTubes new enhancement feature so it should be less shaky in a little bit. It's digital stabilization so it sucks.. but meh

How'd you bend it? It's 304 stainless!
Send me a PM with your address, and I'll get you fixed up. BUT... I probably won't be back into my shop until Tuesday. (Taking a day for Easter)

Arrived
My order arrived yesterday (April 7th). Right on schedule, 10 days to Japan.
Wanted to put it on today but had to take the kids to the aquarium. Will probably be a late night project this week. Here's a pic of the pack so anyone thinking of ordering one knows what they'll get. |

Reaset adjusters
I installed mine the other day. I would call it a very easy install. I ended up starting out in the farthest back, highest up position with one change: I moved the upper bolt to the forward position to better angle the pegs for how my feet naturally rest on the pegs. See pictures.
And yes, I am deep in the middle of multiple mods, which explains the lack of body work and wired-up stock exhaust. So far I have installed T-Rex frame sliders (highly recommend), swing arm spools and a seriously loud horn! The body works is about 80% modified to accept standard (no-rise) Woodcraft clip ons, I have a DanMoto GP Titanium slip on, K & N R-0990 pod filter and SixSigma jet kit on the way. I also have a CustomLED integrated taillight, RaceTech fork springs, and 2007 GSXR750 rear shock waiting to be installed. Big things are in store for this little bike! |

Just kidding :P Those sound like a lot of stellar mods! Hope you post more about them as time goes on. Also, when them tilted down like that, have you done any aggressive riding yet? I was considering that but sort of afraid I'd run into some clearance issues in a full lean.

No aggressive riding yet. The bike is not sorted correctly for that, the stock fork springs leave me unable to ride very aggressively due to the frontend slamming to the ground under hard braking...RaceTech's should fix that!
Like my Custom Exhaust Hanger? You can get one too from www.CustomRustedWireExhaustHangers.com, they're pretty cheap and fully customizable by the user! Take care... |

I'll send you a PM.
My shop is in Latrobe, but I'm in and out... so we would have to arrange a time. Also... I'm "Industrial"... not a bike shop... so there isn't much to see other than me and my equipment.
