Does anybody know the exact size and length of the carb overflow hose? I am going to ace hardware tomorrow to get this but don't know size or length and looking online doesn't help.

If I had to guess, it's probably a 1/4 ID hose. I'm not 100% sure though.
Did you ever get this figured out? |

I would also guess 1/4" ID. a 2 foot length should cost you about a dollar. Get a few different ones and use what fits best. Biggest I'd say is 5/16

Make sure it can handle fuel. Most of the hoses you'll find are vacuum hoses, and will deteriorate over time from fuel.

Measure the fuel outlet fitting. It's probably 1/4", but if you get 5/16" you can always use a hose clamp on it. Buy longer than what you need and trim to length after installation. Easier to trim hose than add hose! Since it's an overflow hose, the size is not critical.

So in my haste to get my rebuilt carbs back on my bike, I forgot to replace the overflow hose that was previously missing when I bought the bike...
Should I even worry about having a hose on it at all? |

Yeah you should have a hose on there. If not and the bowls overflow you will have gas pouring on your engine. Just get a roll of 1/4" id tubing and route it out the bottom of your bike (roughly 2ft)

I just rebuilt my carbs and I am fairly certain its 5/16", but if you get the 1/4" it will probably stretch enough to work anyway. They sell the yellow/green gas hose there in the lawnmower section. I'm using the yellow gas hose for my new vacuum lines.
