All which came from 3 people...
Come on guys. It was a mistake. Put yourself in their shoes. So they are chitowncycle today and they'll be chitowncycle2 tomorrow with all new positive feedback. No biggie

Seriously. That's pretty jacked up.
I can understand it if you saw one thing that was priced too low, you bought it, and then all this happened. But that's not what happened at all.....you guys knew 100% that this was a mess-up and you tried to take advantage of the company/mistake. Then, when you couldn't, you leave negative feedback? I mean, really? Did you guys honestly expect to get $500 worth of gear for like $50? Did you guys honestly believe that the company meant to sell the gear for $5.95? |

Read back a little, here is what the Ebay rep told me Quote:
If the seller had a software glitch that caused this error I could understand that. But if thats the case, I'm sure he would have the capabilties to generate and send out a mass email to all the buyers explaining the situation and asking for understanding. That did not happen. Infact there was ZERO attempts at communication from to seller to anyone. Also, the EBAY rep told me that there policys are much different today then in the past. It would be much, much, more difficult for the seller to simply open a new ebay account under a new name. Last futzed with by ator; June 1st, 2012 at 06:49 AM. |

Quick poll,
whos actually sold stuff on ebay? if you haven't, then stop arguing. Ive sold stuff for less than I wanted to because I messed up and didnt put a reserve. It sucked and that was my bad, yet I still sent it out because I was contractually obligated to. A simple solution would have been to send out the cheapest item for that price, then a mass email explaining the situation. THEN you would have been a douche for leaving negative feed back. They deserve negative feed back plain and simple. They arent good sellers as they are completely lacking in costumer service. Leave negative feedback, you dont need to defend it. You're in the right here. *I use ebay to buy and sell things on a semi regular basis.

I just want to be clear....I absolutely agree that the seller did not communicate with you guys. 100% agree. I believe that he/she should have contacted everyone who bought items, once he discovered his mistake, and explained what happened.
I also believe that people knew that it was a mistake and tried to take advantage of it, and then got pissed off when they couldn't. |

1)Seller could be going out of business 2)Items could be outdated (prior years items) 3)Most items I bought were things like T-Shirts, socks, compression pants/shirts. Items that could have a legitimate sales price of $5.95 I agree that some buyers were potentially trying to take advantage (buy at $5.95 and sell for a profit) But, I was not. I also believe alot of buyers simply wanted to purchase their items. |

We cannot force the seller to sell at those prices, but we can voice our displeasure with the seller through our feedback. The seller made a mistake, instead of owning up to it or even acknowleding it, he simply ignored it. In my opinion, any feedback he gets will be deserved. |

It came up because you SHOULD know how it works then. You are contractually obligated to sell the item FOR the stated price. Mistake or not. To make it worse, not only did they not sell it for the mistaken price they did not contact the buyers and explain the situation. This is the perfect time to leave negative feeback. The seller needs to be aware that their actions are not appropriate and that they need to work on their communication skills. Quote:
Right, and I wouldnt even have expect them to give them all the stuff at that price, but it should have at least been addressed. It wasnt. Negative feed back. simple as that.

Ok, so....I guess I'm on the same page with the misscommunication thing. But I'm still torn on it, since I knew right from the beginning that it was a mistake. That's why I didn't try buying any of them....

maybe if they send you the t-shirt give them neutral. Just because of poor communication.

So the worst that should be said then is that the seller has poor communication. Maybe he had thousands of people to communicate the problem with and maybe he is addressing them each on an individual level. The easiest solution was in fact a mass email and I don't know why he failed to communicate the issue to the buyers but the pricing of not one or a handful, but THOUSANDS of items was an obvious mistake. Leave your feedback as negative if you wish but put the facts in there so the future buyers (that have a brain...) can see that there was obviously a few people that tried to get over on this business.

Trolling and flame baiting is against TOS. Read it.
but sure, ill ask. Hey @Alex is @dubojr1 's trolling everything I post and flame baiting against the TOS? On topic. fine then give them 1 star for communication. I dont care, but its silly to bash on someone for leaving negative feedback on a negative transaction of you disagree cool. We will all agree to disagree.

I think anyone that takes eBay too seriously as a buyer or a seller is bound to experience disappointment and annoyance on a frequent basis. Buyers suck. Sellers suck. Feedback sucks. Welcome to eBay.

It looks like a lot of people were trying to take advantage of the mistake and buy the items simply to resell them. Either way, I'm glad I didn't have time at work to buy stuff.

I'm still waiting on either a refund or my T-Shirt.
Seller now has more then 500 negatives. I understand that the seller could not just sell all those item. At an average loss of $20 per item the seller would have lost over $10K But He still should have communicated with the buyers |

Also, who said anything about a personal apology??? If the seller has the ability to list over 7000 items for sale, I am pretty sure that he has the ability to generate a mass email that could have been send to anyone who bought these items. Instead, he chose to make the "Dick Move" and simply refund $$ with no communication what so ever. I am still waiting on a refund for 2 of my items. Just because I "understand" what happened does not exonerate the seller of responsibility. |

Wel, I reached out AGAIN to the seller and simply asked for a refund or my item. The seller ACTUALLY resonded to me with this generic message:
Good Afternoon,This order has been cancelled and refunded or never charged due to a bad upload to eBay. We apologize for the inconvenience and we're offering a discount off our website for the trouble. Visit www.ridersneeds.com and use the code 062012. Apologies for the trouble. Please let us know if we can assist you further. Thank you, Riders Needs I responded back with: OK, here is the problem. I didn't recieve a refund for this item. So please refund that payment or send me the item. I have opened a case Thanks We will see what happens |

Why don't you call the support number off of the website and speak to someone?
It's slightly more difficult to ignore a voice over the phone than it is an e-mail on a screen. |
