What's up kraazy. Can't do this run, too busy on Saturday with volunteering. I'll catch you on the next run!
How's the bike? Did you keep it or did you get another one? |

yo krazzzzz
NYC would be a very short ride for me but if we could get the crew we had when we wnt last time i'd show...fizz,urban,you, rollin,,,,who were the other guys....steve will be volunteering for something...nahim...I might be able to drum up the guy I sold my '09 to...nice guy from astoria. If not many people sign up, maybe you and brooklyn wanna do an easy run to Port Jeff on LI...I know of a few short twisty sections on the way. |

I'm close by! I'm in the Bed-Stuy/Bushwick section. I ride just about everyday. This weekend I'm pretty busy, but might be able to squeeze in a quick ride on Sunday after noon. PM if you want to ride through the city or something. I can also ride on Monday too.
As for 9w and 218, @eddiekay can set something up for a weekend a few weeks from now. @adouglas needs to get at me so that we can do the VALVE ADJUSTMENT TOGETHER. TECH DAY! |

Sundays supposed to be nice.Delaware gap or BM are far better rides than anyhting on LI...far better.
Del Gap from NYC is RT80...a long boring highway that will be jammed on Sunday....but there's other ways there: Thru staten island...up 287 to 78 we go to easton pa...turn north on 611 and hit Del Gap....gently twisting, well paved country roads. It's a very pretty ride with sections that can be run fast if you want. From Brooklyn....figure 5-6 hours RT. BM too is a very easy ride and there's lots of twisties there...the kind of stuff Fizz and Urban like best with no drainage ditches From Brookyln...about the same or less if we just do the mountain. Add an hour if we do 301 or if we go to my secret road in Fahenstock Park...hard packed dirt..waterfall, ponds, GooGEarth Sunk or Sunken Mine Road in Fahenstock State park....you ride this @ 5mph....and then south to BM. Kraaaaz.....make the plan...meet=up etc but rememeber...traffic out of NY metro loads up anytime after 10 |

Steve....granpa does NOT get heart problems. At my age...hard is a problem but not heart. Funny...the first ride I took on a ninjette was in Port jeff LI. I saw this pretty little blue bike and started talking to the owner, a young woman younger than most of my kids...she offered to let me ride it and within 1/4 mile...I decided to get one. Guys...LI offers no bike destinations...stright, flat, crowded roads and the few places riders stop...I'd be the youngest one there...I'm not lying and 6 of our engines wont make up one of theirs. HD Land.
If you wanna keep the ride short...do NYC...does the ferry still take cars ? Whoa...can you see a pic on the baord of a bunch of ninjettes on the ferry with NYC in the background??? In front of the wall st bull...the cloisters...in front of a gay bar!!!!!!! I mean...not like i know where all the gay bars are but...or who's open on Sunday @ 1:45 but.... Really...NYC is a primo destination that's easy for all you city crew...2-3 hours max....well under 100 miles and it doesnt matter what time we go. Your first idea was the best I think. |

Didnt we have another young woman on board,,,maybe early thuis year...Toya or Tonya also from Bklyn ?
We have quite a few female riderz here on LI...all on 883's and Stars it seems. I've ridden with HD crews in past years and there was always 2 or 3 women in the bunch...Aunt Teresa's and Grandma Sarah's like my age but...well guess you guys gotta wait 30 years before you'll see gals in the group. |

Urban...yeah..I had an '03 XR750 look alike
dpenndable, predictable, belt drive...oil vent is behind ham can so it spits oil on you shin...$60 extra for a kickstand, $40 extra for a battery cover...those HD dealers are theives....scrapes the pegs if you have too much change in your left pocket but man...I had fun with that bike...useless passenger seat, tiopped out @ 90...after 10k miles....85 before that But....kids wave at you, cruiser dudes nod....you're in the family when you have any kind of HD |
