300 stock pipe vs 250
To the guys that had the 250 and now have the new 300. Is there much difference in the sound of the stock pipes or does the new 300 sound pretty much the same as 250?

I think it sounds the same. I was talking to cameron about it when Alex fired up his 300 "sounds just like a stock 250!"

That's because you waited too long to buy ear plugs. The damage is already done.

Jiggles is deaf. But regardless, it does sound similar. If you start up a stock 250 and a stock 300 next to eachother, the 300 does sound a little deeper, but it's not night and day. A 250 with a pipe on it is clearly louder, of course.

I was thinking more about when you're out riding them, not how they sound sitting at idle.

They sound the same. No surprise there, because they're both 180 degree parallel twin engines that are similar in displacement.
