Rode a mile or so to work. Rode back.

I've never ridden my bike for pleasure. It's rather sad. xP

Rode to my friend's house near the New Hampshire border to put the bike away for the winter (and from this possible hurricane). Topped off with gas, stabilized, and hooked up the battery tender in his garage. Sad day, I'm gonna miss riding these next few months. I did hit 100 mph for the 1st time on my way up there so that was cool.

Don't touch the intake/exhaust until you have a way to change the fuel map. Put that snorkel back on

Doesn't matter. That map is meant for the stock set-up. Don't change the set-up until you can change the map. You're always better to be a little rich vs being a little lean, because running a rich (not stupid rich) mixture runs cooler exhaust temps, and cooler valve temps as well. Pulling the snorkel makes you run a little less rich.

The reason carb'd bikes can pull the snorkel and shim the needles without changing main jets is because the main jets are stupid rich, and all that usually has to be done is raise the needles with some washers.

Your mixture is well controlled with the FI, but it doesn't have O2 sensors and cannot adjust to changes in the intake/exhaust. Adding more air just means you're leaning it everywhere.

Yeah that Kawasaki one looks ****ed up on the bike AND when it's off. How messed up is that?!

I "almost" got it to look normal by taking some rubbing compound polish and buffing that **** over and over. Looks kinda normal now. Kinda.

When I repaint him, the Kawasaki is the first thing to go. It's just so jarring.

Me and my girlfriend took off the whole side fairing on both sides to make it a little more flush in the front end :P and i also took off my heat shield and up the idle a bit because it looked alittle low after full warm up. :]

Commuted to and from work dressed up as Where's Waldo, managed to squeeze the costume over my jacket and double-sided taped the beanie to my helmet, there was no way I was going to go without my gear. Got lots of looks and pictures taken and a school bus full of kids yelled "I found you!" at a stoplight.

The decals on the tank are the ones that are under the clear coat. @Daks was talking about the 2006 year model, which has the Kawasaki logo on the tank.

Well as the sandy has finally calm down here, so today I just took out my bike from the garage to check whether everything is fine or not as a tree has fallen over my garage. Nothing else.

not sure I'd put flush mounts in the high visibility category. Maybe brighter, but in the wrong direction, and more narrow than stock. I don't think many would argue that stock is more visible to oncoming traffic. they sure do look nicer though!

Improvement - love, spell check.

Weird, surprising, but not too surprising, after all the carbs were to cut down on costs, if they want to have FI and keep it cheap they drop the o2 sensors, seems a bad idea to me though.

Not really. They know what tune they want to deliver. There's sensors for air temp, engine temp, and other various parameters.

They can do the math and program it to do what they want at varying temps/elevations/engine temps/throttle openings/load etc. The O2 sensor is just a back up.

It's not the only fuel injected bike that doesn't have and O2 sensor. Look at the 650, some Yamaha's, etc.

It's important to let people to the SIDE see you too.
Side
+ Brighter
+ Strobe
More Visibility

Soooooo.... After I found out I'd be losing 200$ and not get any track day to boot, I did the next most obvious thing... Spent more money on my bike to make her feel better. Paid 140$ for .70kg/mm sonic springs + oil + shipping to India. Once I get them I can finally do my front suspension upgrade.

I'm lost on where you spent the $200. Sorry about not getting any track day... which is, I guess, how you lost the $200...

I'm sure your bike will be happy with the upgrade once you get them done... you'll probably appreciate it too...

80$ to ship the bike there
40$ Ticket cancellation Charges
80$ Ship the bike back

This doesn't even include the potential damages which might have occurred during handling

Ahh well, I can only hope for the best.
