Congrats, you get the "didn't find a Jiggles Brand Toyota" award =D -- nice dodge, but could've been an accident really easily if a car had some reason to have gone into that shoulder.
Let me go into mom mode: Don't do it again. |

Oh yeah, that was my first thought going around the car, "K, what am I going to hit" not much braking power in the shoulder this time of year here.

you would have been much safer splitting the red car and the cement truck. the shoulder is always dirty and slippy. trying to cut out then straighten up on the shoulder is usually extremely risky. the 1.5 lane is usually clean and since the cement truck was there, you were pretty gaurded against someone in the #1 cutting into #2 (they aren't going to ram a cement truck)
i'll also say, you would have been much safer if instead of cutting over at all you just stayed in 1.5 the entire time. splitting safely is much safer than swerving erratically. regardless of legality. think of your safety not your wallet. good job on not crashing though. i like your camera setup. also the Austin Martin looks sexy as hell

Not legal, can get away with in a lot of traffic, they just can't follow. But I was thinking of finding out what the lane splitting charges would be, if they go reckless it can be a costly one. Me and someone were talking and if I was splitting this wouldn't of happened.

lane splitting is misunderstood by non riders.
they don't understand the how safe it can be when used correctly.
