600 mile service.

How much do kawi dealers charge for the 600 mile service?
There are 2 dealers near my house. A suzuki and a kawi. The owner, his wife, son and employees at the suzuki dealer are very nice. They have exceptional services. I went out to the kawi dealer and they left me standing there like I was lost. Is it ok if I bring my bike to the suzuki dealer for service?
The owner told me $150 for the 600 mile service.
What do you think?
Thanks,
Tin

1-2 hours tops, so Im thinking around 100-120 bucks but if you change the oil yourself and just have them do the other stuff it will knock off 30 minutes they can charge you for labor. I would suggest a mom and pop place that you can get in good with though, they are much more inclined to charge less for labor and do things free of charge.

Hi Tin - Have you looked through the stickies at the top of the tech forum? The maintenance schedule is right up there, and in addition in the DIY index there's a link to a step-by-step 600-mile service document that one of the folks here put together. Here's a link to that same entry in our wiki:

Well the kawi dealer by my house took just a bit over an hr and they charged me like $73 so I'm not sure if they did anything differently?!

Valves should not be adjustment at 600 miles. My dealer told me he rarely sees it needed before 12000 miles, our bikes are that bullet proof.

150 sounds ok, if that includes parts/labor. I paid 127, but I did my own oil change.

There are several here that needed their valves adjusted at the 7.5K mile maintenance.
