Ok so I don't say anything about it in the video because the person I was trying to help didn't mention it but if you listen carefully at the end when I rev it with the choke off it sound super muffled like your does.

I hate the idea but if a leak is suspected the only way to check is to check each connection for a pulled hose, cracked line or anything that looks like it could leak. There is no shortcuts to find a leak I find it odd that you've been riding it all this time then suddenly you get a vacuum leak but at the same time anything is possible. |

I thought about it, but he had ridden it prior. Apparently it happened just before he was getting ready to go to work. You know how little gremlins mess with stuff? Odd? Maybe, but the rpms may have been set low anyway. Then I listened to the video.
BTW, you got little munchkins lurking around your crib? Keep turning the knob to the right to see if the idle is affected at all. |

i kept turning the knob to the right and no dice. there are some people that run around the apartments, and i had actually had someone tear the rim tape off of one of my wheels a few weeks ago. i always have the alarm on it though. the person that messed with it doesn't live here they come for parties that some people throw <_< i have people keep an eye on it for me. |

Have a look at the right side of the carb and see if the idle adjustment knob is attached.
See the attached pic. |

That sucks but it means that someone could have simply reached in a pulled on one of your vacuum lines and removed it
If this does end up being the case then I'd suggest getting a cover for the bike that has a simple locking loop at the bottom so they can't steal it. They won't bother with your bike if they have to work to get to it. |

i don't think it's the idle, something to add is that every now and then it will revert to normal, only for it to go back to being muffled. like it's getting a burst of gas or air.? my bike is usually covered up. i'm not really able to take it to the dealer due to not having the money right now and also the dealer is a few miles away and i can't really ride it :/
EDIT: i looked where you have those pictures and nothing is disconnected, i also checked everything from where someone could just reach in the fairings. all connections looked good. |

Is there a particular condition in which it reverts back to normal? (hot, cold, wet, dry) What did the gas look like that you siphoned out? Did it appear to have water in it? Did you put some fresh gas from a new station in it? How long are you letting it run on it's own? |

well its the same condition. it's hot here, it does it randomly while running, i rode it around the block a few times and it would come back to full power. the gas i siphoned did seem to have a bit of water in it and i did put new gas in from a new station. and just a few minutes at a time, because it just stays that way. maybe a max of 10 minutes.
EDIT: I feel like i'm dying since i haven't been able to ride for a week now |

I don't like how you said you siphoned the gas out because that always leave little at the bottom and the bottom is always going to be water. I'd fell much better if the tank was removed the petcock was removed and the tank was completely drained. Then completely drain the carbs or removing and cleaning them would be best but I understand not wanting to do this. Then pour in a bit of fresh fuel.
Does the NewGen bike have that inline fuel filter? If not maybe you sucked some kind of blockage into the carb and its bouncing around in there. |
