Honda cbr 600rr

going to go check out a ninja 636 on the weekend

now I do really like the upright position of the ninja 250

the f4i is kinda close to the ninja

I really like the look of the cbr a 2013 out the door here is 14,000 used I can get a 2006-2012 from 5 to 10K

any other suggestions on 600cc bikes I like the sport bike look

If you like upright sitting position and sportbike performance,

Ducati Hyperstrada

Was in the same position as you are. I was going to buy a SV650 but I decided on the F4i. Such a great bike with everyday comfort. My other option was a FZ6 not the R but the FZ6. All 3 of these bikes are around the 3k - 4k price range.

Seating position isn't as comfortable as a 250 still weight on your wrists more but not as bad as say a R6 or a 600RR. My bike produces 103hp at 47ftlb of torque from the dyno so power difference is night and day from the ninja 250 with around 30hp. Earlier today I did a few power wheelies while heading home. I think from 2001 to 2003 you get the split seat and from 04 to 06 you have the banana seat so I would imagine the banana seat is much more comfortable.

I have owned many bikes and have hung on to my 03 636. It truly is a great machine. It does not have the upright riding position like the F4i though. What type of riding do you plan to do with the bike?

Yep. Love mine. But not upright…

Maybe a Speed Triple?

600 supersports are cool but don't make really good power unless you wind them up. Bigger motors are torquier and deliver the goods where you'll be riding them most of the time.

My 636 has more power than I need. I actually wish we could buy 400cc inline 4 cylinder bikes here because that would be the perfect balance between power and handling. I loved my old FZR400. My SV650S was a good bike too.

To be honest, your Ninja 250 sounds like the perfect bike for riding 10 mins to work. My ride to work is the same and I take the 250 or DR-Z400SM. I never use the 636 for the commute, but that's just me. Don't go selling your 250 and regret it. It is a 2012 so I personally wouldn't get rid of it for an older bike.

good advice I may regret selling it but the good thing is im getting exactly what I paid for it so if I regret it I've lost nothing and ill buy a brand new 300

as for older bike I agree sort of, Im in Ontario Canada so we cant ride year round like a lot of you guys can so older bikes often have very low mileage and to be honest I love the look of some of the older bikes

the trouble for me with the 250 is I do a fair bit of hwy rideing and here the speed limit is 100kmh and you can get away with 120kmh well at 120 the ninja passes, but slowly and its screaming

If I had room in my garage id keep

How about something like the Ninja 650? It's great for highway and has plenty of power for what you seem to need. I do love the look of the 636s though. And like you said, Honda CBRs do look really nice. I'd go for a 2012 one myself.
