Shoei RF1100
Just bought a new Shoei Friday at the Vancouver bike show. $379 marked down from $620. :-) Figured it was a good price. Friend of mine paid $550 for one with no graphics.

If your friend paid $550 for a RF-1100, they got ripped off. The MSRP for solid color is $440.99, and most places they are on clearance for $279.99.
Your standard graphic RF-1100 is about $359.99. But I've never seen that graphic before, maybe it's special.

Thanks for the 411. Maybe they are more expensive up here (Canada).

That could be. Either way, nice helmet! I too wear an RF-1100, I absolutely love it.

The locking shield is a nice safety feature. If you don't need wind to get in under your visor for fogging (which is the forward setting), it's best to keep it locked in case you go down in a crash. Visors can easily fly up and allow debris to hit you in the face in a crash.

Looking good. I have the RF1100 myself... You won't be disappointed. As for the price, it might just be Vancouver. Everything is expensive there. A dealer close to me back in December war clearing out the solids for $199. Ride safe.
