NOOB and I need help please.

I have a 2006 250 Ninja that I bought about a month ago, and I performed an oil change as soon as I got it. I put the KN401 filter along with some 10w-40 CASTROL. The bike seems to have oil and I'm sure it does it doesn't leak or anything, it's been running great for days now and I was just going to change the coolant and clean the chain today, and right when I'm getting to work it's starts slowing down like it's shutting off so I gassed it and made it like half a Kilometer so I could at least be at work, soon as I would let go of the gas the bike would plummet into shutting off, what is going on? Battery seems fine, Bike will start but won't stay on, GAS TANK IS FULL. Please someone help, this keeps happening.

I had that problem when my exhaust valves were really really tight (almost no clearance). Bike would stall at every light unless I kept the throttle open. Get the valve clearances checked.

I have made a summary of the key information in the quote for others to see.

You need to do a trouble shooting, step by step:
