They finally let you on the forum?! What has this place come to

Lol just kidding. Good to have you on here man.

Should we be installing the ProCal that came on the disc with the kit, or the one on the EcoTrons website?

The cable is just an RS-232 cable. Nothing special. If you happen to have one lying around the house. Just sayin.

You might need a USB to RS232 adapter if your computer doesn't support RS232 natively. The software can be downloaded from the ecotrons site.

Might save you some time.

We needed to meet up anyways. I have the usb bridge too, as his computer doesn't support RS232.

Doesn't sound like there is any pressure on that port. That was my main concern.

So I'm just going to do the same with a vac plug and zip tie just as a dust cover.

Can someone post up a picture of what the new system looks like, in terms of not having a fuel rail?

Once you get this all figured out, I have questions about how your bike feels with the airbox and efi.

Sure thing. We were actually planning on pod filters once you mentioned it the other day.

Speaking of which, what size filters and hose clamps do I need to buy?

Go on amazon and get a K&N R-0990. It will be about $30 and it comes with the right size clamps. You'll also need a little crank breather that has a 1/2" ID. That will be about $5.

Don't do that until after you've got everything working here.

Thanks for the info, I'll make sure to get everything working properly first. The EFI should adjust for the increased airflow with those, correct?

So once we get ProCal installed and connected to the bike, what do we do next? Just trying to make sure we get this right asap. You guys have all been very helpful, thank you so much.

You're going to want to see what's installed on the ecu.

Once you know that, you're probably going to find that you have dated files on it, so you'll want to open the A2L and CAL files (i think that's the right file? You'll find what I'm talking about) that Matt sent you with procal, and then burn them to the ecu.

Correct me if I'm wrong here people. That's how it went with mine when i started it the first time.

Gas Leak

I installed the fuel tap and short hoses to the quick disconnects. It was leak free for several hours, then suddenly its dripping from somewhere in there. As far as I can tell, its confined to the smaller return tube. I'm not sure if its the fuel tap itself or the clamp.

I don't think its the disconnects since it was leaking above them.

Anyone else have issued with the fuel tap leaking? What was the solution?

I used the blue tubing for the smaller return line and it looks like the gas made it swell. It was stiff going on, but now it just slid off. I had previously used a fuel line spring clamp, but there isn't sufficient barbing to make that work. So I used one of the worm clamps that came with the kit and it seems a lot tighter. I couldn't find fuel injection clamps that size.

The fuel outlet side has standard fuel line hose and it got a proper clamp.

Its sitting out there right now so we'll see if it holds this time.

like i said in the earlier thread, the blue hose is only to be used for planning.

it should be replaced with real EFI hose and correctly sized clamps.

For sure. Still waiting on those CAL files to arrive, and will attempt to load them once received. Is it pretty straightforward on how to do that, or will I need to read some sort of manual or something?

I was lead to believe that it was fuel rated hose but not EFI rated. I'm only using it for low pressure runs.

Its been sitting out there for a while now and no leaks so far. I will keep an eye on it.

If I keep the install, I will replace all the blue stuff with rated stuff. For now, as long as it holds, I will be happy.

i been using the clear blue tubing since the begining and hasnt failed me yet.

And mine did leak at first but all i did was have to tighten the clamps just a bit more without any leaks.

So I just handed off the files and cables to @138.

Quick question though; I see the CAL and A2L files here on the disc. Is there any info I can provide from either of those that would help you guys with this?

ProCal version 6.9.6 too.

Did you gt new rubber washers for the bolts or use the same ones?

The blue hose seems to be holding, but the black hose seems to be leaking by the disconnect. I'm going to put a better clamp on it.

I used the stock washers, and I used pressure rated fuel line instead of the clear stuff. I'll replace all the blue hosing this spring when I do a valve check because it bugs me that not all the hosing matches

I might also experiment with a different shaped T connector for the return/bubble line because I think it might make the angles better so it is more organized down there.

I bought a second bike so I could experiment. I decided to find out if the kit actually works or not. Whether I keep it installed depends on how well it works and how reliable it is.

So I'm back in front of the bike and have the new S19 loaded. I have opened procal with the new A2L and CAL provided by @ecotrons andhave logged data. It created 3 csv files and 2 txt files which I emailed to ecotrons. Does anyone else want these files to take a look at them?

IT never prompted me to Burn CAL to the ECU though...

Those of you with an air box, where did you put the intake air temp sensor? Mine is just a little blob on the end of a wire. I was thinking about drilling a hole in one of the intake tubes and stick it in there, but if breaks off, it might damage the engine. Alternately, I was thinking about drilling a hole in the air box and just taping it in place with some silver duct tape.

I have completed most of the plumbing portion. Looks like spaghetti. I still need to safety wire the pressure regulator and probably add a few zip ties to hold everything in place.

it needs to be as close to the map sensor as possible, while remaining in the intake air stream. i would just follow the kit's instructions.

you have to choose to upload it.
also all the files matt sent you should be placed in the same directory.

When I click "connect", it says "data up to date".

Based on the video here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ms8fQ...ature=youtu.be

are those just simulated settings, or am i actualy supposed to be seeing simliar readings as what the video is showing.

with the key on, in the video, it shows that the map is at 0.

with my key, it shows the map at about 103.

when the engine is started, in the video, map never goes above 100.

obviously my engine won't even start and the map is over 100.

Even with my map sensor completely unplugged, the map shows 109 actually. IDK if that is normal or not.

Sounds like your map sensor got flooded. Several people have reported that problem. Take it loose. Sit it in the sun for an hour. Put it back on and see if it works. If not, it may need to be replaced.
