Hi guys, I Paypal-ed Wayan this past Friday the shipping payment, but because it was such a large amount, I wasn't given an option of a instant transfer but only e-check. PayPal says it takes 3-5 business days to clear so the expected ship date is around 11/02 or so when Wayan receives the payment.
Still 3 people left and streetracer744 did say he is still interested. Haven't heard from Shal1on since his last post here and nothing from Chefdota. If I don't hear from Chefdota soon, @red has dibs on it. |

i have recieved the eCheck request, but it is still pending clearance, which like Coung said, should take 3~5 working days.
the primer and now base coat is almost done, getting painted Ninja Red this afternoon, and then it should be ready by tomorrow afternoon~ should look sweet! (will post pics up tomorrow once i get the finished product) if anyone wants this done on theirs before shipping out the two packages, let me know

Does anyone plan to hack the huger piece off and use the swingarm cover to install a more angular hugger from some other bike?

If serious, how much were you thinking? Any concerns about paint cracking on the surface (plastic flexing)?

concerns for mine cracking; not really. but for the ones getting shipped, i would have to say, a little yes, since they are all stacked up 15 in each box, lol
that would be a choice that you would have to take~ as for the price, im gonna find out later today when i pick it up, im guessing that ill have to pay somewhere between 6 and 12 bucks for it. and its a serious offer (if the color requested is available). but im not taking responsibility on the damages that might occur to the paint job during shipping tho :S

That is so freaking cheap. Is that the buying power of the USD there, or is everything in Bali just inexpensive compared to the US?

buying power of the USD has actually dropped in the past 6~12 months... which sux for me since my salary is in USD, haha...
it is actually the labor that costs so little. people can get as little as $4~5 a day working their ass off, since they dont have a better alternative, they take what they can, there are so many people that need work here, and there is no government support system for the unemployed. the official minimum wages is around $150 a month, thats based on a full time 40 hour a week job. but a lot of companies / corporations pay less than that i got the front fender (that broke in the crash) repainted for $13 in Black, the lip of the rear hugger is about half the size, but the paint is a little more expensive~ which is why i guestimated between 6 to 12 bucks. W.

here are pics of the mods already done,
you need to chop this triangular part off the end here cut a notch in there so it slots into the chain guard bracket shave off the other side, so that it doesnt rub up to the rear brake / rearsets. i will also drill a hole to pass a cable tie better. havent done that yet~ cut out that piece for the rear brake caliper. and then you are done. you can now fix the hugger with just one bracket that you need to make under the brake caliper. on the front left side, you can fix it onto the rubber chain guard, and not like i initially did it with the extension bracket to the chain guard bolt. it works better this way. my bike this morning before going to work front fender done in black!

oh, and regarding the payment, it should be clearing any time now~
this is from PP. This eCheck payment will post to your PayPal balance once the funds have cleared from the sender's account, which usually takes 3-5 business days. (Estimated completion date: Nov 2, 2011) Please do not ship any items until the funds have cleared. once the money has gone in ill work on getting it all shipped

so the boxes have been picked up by DHL this morning:
i have yet to get their final price (and the added insurance cost, which i forgot about). once i get the total ill update, and hopefully we are within the ballpark. if its less (our secretary asked if they can give a promotional price or something) ill reimburse, if its around about the same price (a little more or less, ill leave it) but if its like $20+ due to the shipping insurance, then ill ask to get a little more for coung to send. since that would be coming out of my pocket, and i am not making much off this transaction, lol lets hope they arrive safe and sound

^+1 and maybe start another thread with a DIY with the pictures and info you have provided. Should make it to the DIY section if you can exclude the GB info.

Wow, DHL is awesome! Did not expect the delivery today at all (3 days shipping including the weekend). It's 11am Monday and they attempted to deliver, but unfortunately I wasn't home. I'm gonna see if they can attempt again or if I can pick it up from their warehouse. I have tomorrow off so worse case scenario I receive it tomorrow. Can everyone start PM-ing your addresses and I can start getting quotes for your zip codes. Thanks again Wayan! |

These look really nice. Wayan, what headlight are you using on your Ninja? I've been thinking of changing out the headlight on my Hawk build, and yours looks like it might work well.

I thought the breakdown in shipping was based on shipping (boat)....
No complaints that it is here so quickly, I just thought some of the line items were specific to a shipping port.
