I agree, at first sight that cb400 is a beaut.

For the guys asking for a 400cc model, there's already a 400cc Ninja. It's being sold in Canada and a few other places.
http://www.kawasaki.ca/model/STREET-...443/Ninja-400R

It's very similar to the 650R model.

Definitely looking forward to a new 250R though

How can you say that when Indonesia was carb'd? I think it will happen in any market that it competes with the CBR 250R and any with regulations that require it.

Eco light, simultaneous temp and fuel gauges, and distinct left/right indicator on lamps might prove tricky.

The new 250 is pretty nice but I won't be buying another 250.. I probably won't stick with Kawasaki either. I'll be getting another 600 soon.

Because the offical website says DFI/EFI will only be available in select markets. I think it'd be a safe bet to assume Kawi will continue selling the model using a carburetor wherever they wouldn't be held back by laws or regulations that would make FI more attractive.

I don't think the average consumers knows or cares if their vehicle is FI. Business wise it would be smarter to just stick with the carburetor model since there hasn't been any demand outside of small interest groups like these forums.

Edit: Laws haven't really changed at all concerning vehicle emissions here in the states to warrant FI.

I'm pretty sure Indonesia didn't force the change, so obviously that is not the logic Kawi is following.

Ninja 300 Info

I got some detail information from insiders at Kawasaki Italy about the new Kawasaki Ninja 300R.

It is true, there is a 300cc replacing the 250 version. Two versions, STD (EX300A) & ABS (EX300B). Both versions are being released in three color schemes for 2013: Lime Green of course, Black and a third one that is not certain if is wheter red or white. Completely new bodywork, digital odometer, revised Fuel Injected engine; chassis & suspension remains the same as the 250R. Official release date will be early September. Bike is made in Thailand factory, same place where 250R was made.

Cheers!

Thanks Ed. I can also confirm this info. My uncle works at Kawasaki in Japan and he just gave me news that they are indeed making a ninja 300. It is an entirely new engine, frame, suspension, everything. Not one piece of the ninja 250 will exist in the 300. Unfortunately I am saddened to say that the ninja 250 will no longer be made. The press releases were a fake, an intricate hoax meant to fool the public with a new 250. Their plan is to then release the ninja 300 and blow everybodies ****ing minds.

Can't wait!

Well this is crazy but I just received news from my sisters boyfriend whose Uncle works for Honda. They are making a 400cc Inline 4 sportbike. It is called the CBR400R. It is gonna look like the CBR250R though. It will be announced in a few days.

Dude are you serious!? That's going to blow the 300 out of the water! I could get past the way the cbr250 looks if it packs a sweet engine like that. Is it going to have ABS?
