The rear brake on the 250 is pretty damn sensitive. Its locked up on me a few times, but ive been lucky all of those times and have been able to control the slide. I use it out of habit because of what I was taught at the MSF course... but after having the rear end slide on me a few times I'm considering only using the rear brake if i really need to.
Glad to hear you are ok though. This could have ended much worse. I'm looking forward to see your rebuild progress on your ninja!
