Made some progress today. Thanks to Scorch and a generous donation of parts I am now rolling on 17 inch wheels.
I have a 2002 front frame piece. The original 36mm fork and I have a set of clip ons from an old Honda. I don't use front breaks so this is all good . I did have to make a spacer set to fit the 2008 wheel into the 2001 fork. Out back I just bolted on the 2008 swing arm and mounted a 2008 wheel and break assembly. Now I need to make the read frame section and seat. I am probubly not goin to start with a turbo And nitrous. My nitrous bike will be a 250 and this turbo will be as big as 350cc. I will mount an intercooler up front and a big fender.

I got the rear frame mocked up. I fit the tubing and screwed it together. It is strong enough to lift the bike and sit on. Now I have to make the seat and rear body pieces. I also need to stretch the swing arm four inches.
I have to order the rear bodywork piece $205.00 so that is the hold up now. Once I get the seat on it I will strip the whole thing and weld it. Also I will ship the swing arm out to be stretched.

150 mph at Bonneville . That is the pie in the sky dream. And that is with a full fairings. Without fairings I am looking for 135.
It depends on the power I can get from the engine. And how long I can apply the power. To run on the Salt I need to go full power for three miles. Then turn around and go again. That is hard on a little engine.

I managed to get a lot done on the cooling system. I have the radiator mounted . I can't weld aluminum. And don't want to make the whole bike out of steel.
At this stage I am assembling the frame with screws. Later I will weld the steel bits together. Then bolt the aluminum parts to the steel tabs. The radiator is a stock first gen. That way I have an extra when the salt eats it . I am using an electric water pump. The pump flows 1000 L/H. I hope that is enough. It should be.

The bike is now officially rolling on its own wheels. Now I will do the first welding on the frame. This will be a bunch if welding on the rear section and adding some gussets. Then I take the whole thing apart and get a new grinder pad and go at the frame with a vengeance. I will remove all the odd tabs and nasty welds and anything else .
Then I will start adding my own tabs to hold stuff like pannels and all the intercooler stuff like that.

Under seat radiator mount, Nice! Will you be partitioning the engine bay and the radiator section and fabricating separate vents for them both? Also what do you plan to do with the exhaust?

I plan to use a short piece of two inch of pipe coming out of the turbo for the exhaust.
The rear will get sectioned off with a hugger. Also I will fit pannels to the frame to mount the electronics. Up front the intercooler will go in place of the stock radiator.

This is a universal language of speed. They got 53 HP with half bar and 69.1 with 1 bar. They are running 8.5 to1 compression and using a mega squirt fuel system.
They are really good at this stuff. I feel a bit out of my league. But I don't have the limitation of a street engine. And I only need to ride about fifty miles between tear downs. Lets see how this goes.

I finished my frame and got things mocked up. Now I need to get some money. Unfortunately this is not a likley thing. So the project will go into a heavy planning phase. I need to find source for lots if little parts. I am set on using Etron fuel injection. But I need to make the rest. Or pay to have stuff made.

I am starting with the hot side of the turbo. First I need to mount the turbo at the proper height. I want it as close to the two cylinders as possible. And I want it well above the oil level.
I am going to use these head pipes with O2 bungs for the EFI and merge them together . This is the turbo. http://ecotrons.com/products/turbo_part_pic.php I am using an old damaged head as a jug to make the header.

That is awesome. Is that a street car?
I fiddled with makin some radiator shrouds. This will help keep the air going in one direction. They are carves out of a bar of 3/16 aluminum.

I am still working on that. Current plan is an electric oil pump pulling warm oil out of the engine. Then pump it through and oil cooler and into the turbo. It will drain back using gravity.

The oil cooler is just for the engine. It mounts in place of the line between the head and block.
I have the lines and fitting all set up from Ecotron. I will have to mount it in front of the intercooler. The oil for the turbo will be from 8an fittings and 5/16 hose.
