It looks like you were going too fast and didn't downshift until too late. You don't want to downshift in the middle of the turn. Also, loosen up on the handle bars. Looks like you tried to just turn the bars instead of pushing right. Slow, look, push right and lean with the bike all while in second gear. As soon as you make the turn add gas. I have issues too making sharp right turns if the light is green. Suck because if you don't go slow enough, you will end up in the car wanting to make a left.

Look ahead to the farthest point your eyes can see. Keep your nose pointed towards the exit. Roll on the throttle constantly throughout the turn. Once on the throttle, stay on it.
And read Keith Code's "Twist of the Wrist 2". Cornering Bible, some folks call it.

when the front tire is loaded, you most likely run wide.
slow down, setup your entry angle, trust your counter steering, look through your turn, and gradually roll the throttle.

Most of what other people are saying
1) First get to a comfortable speed for completing the turn... for you. 2) Make sure you are in the proper gear and can get power to the pavement through the turn 3) Look and set up your entry point and where you are going to initiate the turn and flick the bike over. NOTE: steps 1 - 3 done simultaneously 4) approach entry point (i would have went wider than you upon entry) 5) reach entry point (visualize this point with peripheral vision) at this point you should be looking through the turn where you want to end up exiting the turn. 6) do the whole counter steer, press the bar to initiate turn (i would have flicked the bike a little quicker than you) 7) grip the bike with legs and allow your body to move with the lean of the bike as one 8) once you know your line is good (by looking through turn) stabilize lean angle begin throttle roll on. 9) upon exiting the turn shift weight towards rear pull in clutch with 1 finger rev to 10k with WOT and quickly dump the clutch and pull up on the bars to initiate wheelie 10) ride wheelie out as long as you can, preferably off axis while exiting turn looking bad @$$ 11) Do stoppie shortly after and allow rear end to swing around 180 degrees while on front wheel 12) set rear wheel down, rev dump clutch to initiate 2nd wheelie riding it back to intersection where you then pick up the chick 13) the rest is up to you... |

I just got a chance to watch the video after work.
Your biggest problem was that you barely leaned. Bikes can lean WAY further than most people are ever comfortable with. For turns that are slow like that one, you don't need to hang off or worry about body position. Just flick that baby up under you. She will lean WAY over! Just be sure not to brake to stop until she's standing up straight.

sell the bike, get one of these, problem solved.
but srly, just slow down and turn. and learn to keep the bike in gear, makes it easier to maneuver |
