It was like nothign compared to modern stunting but every patron at every movie in every town, every time it was shown went wild.
Oh ya! you are sooo right, I loved that segment!

My brother made a switch to kill all lights and go stealth on his Kawasaki KLR650. It also helps that it's a dual-purpose bike.

You beat me to it. It's my favorite scene and before the jump it shows McQueen, an accomplished rider sliding in the grass setting up for the jump. BTW it was a Triumph fitted with square side boxes to make it look like a BMW. If my memory serves me the Triumph was used as it had the performance needed for the jump.

The 1981 movie Gumball Rally. The Kawasaki rider Lapchick the Mad Hungarian. He is so cold he pulls into a gas station and pushes his face up against the exhaust pipe.

If you guys are planning something fishy...

You can reach under your fairing and disconnect the running light and high beam.
Move the highbeam connector over to the running light and connect.
Leave the highbeam disconnected.

Now when you flick your highbeam switch you will cycle between no lights at all and just the regular lowbeam dirivng bulb.

Stealth huh?
Can you tell I've been thinking this over? lol
Well before that Ducati video anyways. I never saw that movie.
Now you just need a brake light eliminator.

His eliminates brakes, headlights, gauge lights, etc. Now he's working on getting rid of the other little dash indicators (neutral light and such). We suspected all of his wiring tinkering was why his brake light didn't work a couple weeks ago but, after a lot of wasted effort, it turned out to be the dual-filament bulb (we even looked at that!).

A few years ago I saw a drug dealer driving down the street in a Cadillac with no lights and a heads up infrared display. He could see where he was going, but you'd have to be looking right at him to notice him. I think it was stock.
