When I'm done, I just slide my foot back so the ball of my foot is on the peg and ride normally.

Try on some boots and sit on bikes in the dealership with them before you discard them from your consideration. They might pleasantly surprise you. At the very least, it'll give you an idea of what you like or dislike in a motorcycle boot
I definitely will try anything on before I buy it. I also wont buy any boot they won't let me return after a test ride.

Because the pegs are rubber, boots that are too sticky make it next to impossible to slide your foot anywhere.

The sharp heels are bad IMHO. They prevent your foot from sliding forward. Whether you can reach the shifter/brake is a function of how big your foot is. Flat bottomed shoes are the easiest to deal with, but I could live with tapered heels.

hey as far as that inner heel angle...

Ive actually had to cut some before, at a 45 bevel, cause they would catch on steel catwalks and ladders.

Might work there too.

Either that or JB weld a block of wood to it with a taper on it. The only fear I have about sawing them is accidentally sawing into a hollow heel or something else unexpected.

The rule is, ride like you're invisible...period. Ride like everyone on the road is trying to kill you. Stay away from other vehicles as much as possible (though of course, is rarely possible). Stay out of people's blind spots. That's like being "double invisible"!

This is a nice boot thread. Oh wait. I am in the riding skills section. What's going on here. Mmmmhm.

To the OP. Take the MSF. Ride like you are Invisible to all! Be a very observant rider. Wear ATGATT or Most of your gear all the time. Start on a Ninja 250. Don't ride stupidly.

I'm pretty sure if I can reach the levers with my heels up against the pegs, you can as well. I have a size 9 boot. Most guys have bigger feet than I do.

well the good news is that I got my boots, and they are armored just like those Sidi's. They are so comfortable too, and walking is not a chore what so ever! Just looks a little weird having my jeans tucked into them, though now I'm saving up for some leather pants woot woot!

I mean, you know what they say about big feet?

And since choneofakind says he has small feet I can just assume he has a Jiggles dick.
