hhmmm, for bigger tyre, i think u have to choose the yamaha r6 2008 arm, it can handle 180-190 and quite easy to be pluged onto n250r frame too.

Last night, i took the bike to my friend's fruit warehouse. He has a huge weight-scale there.
The result: 148 kg with engine oil in the crankcase and 7-8 liter fuel in the tank. Not bad?

Sounds like your friend is delivering his fruit a little light.

Honestly, i am not really sure about this weight result either ... i have to checked again with him, when was the last time he did calibration on the scale
It's a 1978 giant mechanical scale. Capable of doing a measurement up to 1000kg, so maybe 200 kg of measurement is not very precise

I just rechecked with my friend who did the measurement reading last nite, he said 184kg (not 148kg). Pardon my stupidity

hehe i was thinking 148kg that's LIGHT! 184 sounds closer. wikipedia quotes kawi as saying 375 lb (170 kg) stock wet weight but that seems a little light..

Gorgeous bike. Also, wished they had the white tail and tank in US besides the long awaited EFI.

EFI isn't available yet in our country. But i don't realy like EFI ... as it'll kill 'the art of jetting' ... We can't play with the carb anymore We will be dictated by electronic circuit

Newbie bump!! but im looking to do these swaps to my bike but aprilia rs250 parts are scares here and was wondering what else could be used i heard r6 swing arm will work but havent seen it and wondering whats involved in doing it with the r6 swing arm but what about the front cus i want to keep stock bodywork so a hacked fender with busa forks is not what im looking for, but i belive a diy should be made on this with parts that are more readily avalible here in us and canada.....

i dont think you will be lucky enough to get DIY's done from any of the indonesian workshops, they are too busy working, to take pictures, and post it on any forums, lol...
on top of it, its also what you might call their trade secrets, as in they spend the time and money to do the research, trial and errors, etc. to figure these things out. if they were to post a step by step process, no one would need to bother going to them to get the mod done, lol its going to be down to someone in the states, to do this mod with a DIY. i would do one, and i am contemplating getting a front end replacement, but it would not be relevant, since my bike has no farings,

oh, okay, that method works
now how about the Brake Calipers? did those brembo fit over the Katana brake disc without a problem? (in case the Aprilia wheel has a different diameter of brake disc vs Katana's) |

Front tire hugger is from the RS 250 upside down. So no need modif on that part.

Yes! Katana rims fit 100% into RS250 upside-down. The brake disc, etc. fit 100%.

The younger the better ... but in Indonesia, the easiest is to find the 2008-2009.
