Ahh, thanks for the clarification. I always wondered about that!

I don't think twice about the Like Like or any other freeway. I can't compare it to any other bike other than my virago 250. To me it handles just fine.

I'm impressed ... I need to get more comfortable (... and work up my courage) to try the Pali / Likelike / H-1 / H-2 / and H-3 ... I'm thinking about trying the Pali first (... maybe on an early Sunday morning when the traffic is light).

don't do the pali first. go h2 instead. the pali has a pretty sharp 180 degree turn before one of the lookouts. if you are just learning, it may prove a bit scary. especially if the roads are wet.. which they often are on the windward side. i wasn't able to stay in the same lane the first time i went. luckily there was no car in the next lane.

Yea, like Gary says, you should do Pali later. The more experience you get, the more second nature everything will be and it will be less scary.

I remember being afraid to go over the Pali too as a new rider.

... thanks for the words of caution. Before I forget, what procedure do you use for working the choke (when you're warming up the bike). Someone suggested that I open the choke up all the way and warm up the bike for about five minutes ... then, put the choke lever back to the normal position and start riding. Someone else suggested that you open the choke up all the way but just warm up for two minutes. Then, move choke lever back half way and start riding (turn choke off after a few minutes of riding). Your thoughts? Mahalo!
