partially mounted. more of a test fit to get the sizes of brackets that need to be made. pleasantly surprised that flipping the stock r6 top bracket makes it line up very close to the previous mounting spot for the reservoir cap. had to move the coolant fill cap to outside which is better anyway. who wants a fill cap you can't get to?

obviously the paint has to go. i think bright yellow to match my helmet...

Wow the fit does seem really good!!! As mentioned the paint is pretty loud and abnoxious... but I know you can fix that pretty easily. I'm not 100% sure what I'm looking at in the 2nd picture though... I'm such a noob

its the petcock. theres supposed to be a tube in the second hole. thats the reserve. the main line is the long tube and it runs out before the gas gets to the bottom... no tube, no reserve

Aha!!! That makes total sense... notes of wisdom... take everything apart on a used bike to ensure it's working the right way

She's coming along nicely... I would assume this last picture is a little older as it's got the other tank on it

yeah that was a few weeks ago. she has definitely come quite a long way. most of the electrical has been replaced, entire intake system redone, the tank obv., everything is slowly getting refinished, but i accidentally scratched the frame with the new tank installing it, so i'm going to drop everything out and sand and repaint the top of the frame. i want to install that byson hugger from cuong on the fzr instead of the ninja, it looks like it will fit perfect. also kevin might have gotten me a tail, and he did some photochopping to see what it might look like:

like i said earlier, i've found a new love for yellow. it will even match my track gear

another version:

You are actually starting to make it look more like a normal bike...lol a real tank and a real fender... you never cease to amaze me!!! Before you know it you'll have this sitting in your carport:

I know... it's a 92 not a 93... but it's yellow (Vance & Hines edition)

Lookin' good bro!!! You need to stretch the fabric tighter on the seat or maybe get a different material so that it will hold the form better... but it's better for sure than your old seat!!! Also, is it just me or is she idling a little rough

changed jets again, did a better job bench syncing the carbs so the idle is better now. it definitely sounds a lot louder and harsher with the pod filters. you can hear the intake quite a bit more now. im on 120 main jets now but i think i need 122.5 or even 125 but i need to order them. its fast. a lot faster than before. maybe 5%-10% more power. its hard to tell without a dyno but its definitely got enough to make your shoulders hurt trying to hang on like a squiddy.
