Here's an embarrassing story for you guys. Being only 5'4" and always on my tiptoes, I had some height trouble when I first bought my bike. One evening I was backing up to park on an uneven street and lost my footing. The bike started rolling back too fast... I grabbed the front break in a panic while the handle bars were still turned and gravity took over. Luckily my sliders saved the day and nobody was watching!!!

Now I always wear footwear that gives me at least an extra inch of height and I always hold the front break lightly when backing up to park. Haven't had any problems since that day. My older sister is a big shorter than me and had to lower her Ninja by 2" inches. I considered doing the same thing to mine but decided not to do it.

If you can't flat foot it while backing up on an uneven surface I highly recommend getting off and walking it while standing next to the bike.

That usually how I maneuver my bike around in the garage. It's faster and much less likely that you will drop the bike. Trust me, it's much less embarrassing to get off the bike and walk it around than it is to get off the bike and pick it up off the ground.

I can barely push my bike backwards on level ground. Add any kind of upwards slope and I can't go backwards at all. I'm 5'5" with a 30" inseam. In order for me to flat foot the bike on both sides I have to put my legs down in front of my pegs but behind the brake/shifter which makes it impossible to walk the bike.

Sure, I'll ask her to join but she probably wont. She now rides a Yahama V Star and only keeps the Ninja around so we can ride when I visit her. Seems like she lost interest in her ninja 250
