So my set just came in today and I have to say at first impression these are very nice looking. They have a high quality feel to them without a doubt.

They arrived pre-assembled which I thought was cool. Should definitely make the installation a bit easier. I wonder if there is a DIY guide around for these, but I figure it should be fairly straightforward. Blair did include some written instructions that stressed many times to use blue loctite quite liberally when putting these on your bike.

I can also confirm without a doubt these pegs are definitely shorter. They measure out at less than 3 inches, 2.6 inches to be exact. Pretty huge difference compared to the 4.375 inches stated earlier in the thread. Definitely won't have any clearance issues with these which is awesome.

Hope to have them installed soon and perhaps take some pics to show 'em off.

So I'm just now getting the chance to install these rearsets.

For those of you who already have these, did you receive bolts with them? Am I supposed to reuse the stock mounting bolts?

Mine came with 4 Allen bolts and what looks to be like some small spacers or something. Not enough bolts for both sides though...

Hmm.

Update

Sent Blair an email and he responded super quick as usual, he cleared up the confusion for me.

The longer bolts are to be used with the spacers that are positioned between the frame and the rearset brackets.

Thanks pjed for sharing!
Does anybody know how these will fit with a full yoshi? Will I have to remove the heat shield?
Also on the SV website - the options for a brake light pressure switch are CT and FT, what does that mean?
I hope to have this set on my bike ASAP

Thanks!

I have these installed on my bike and I have a yoshi slip-on. There are no clearance issues.

I plan on taking some pics and giving my impressions on them. Just haven't had the time yet, and the clutch side still needs to be adjusted as it is too low and I can't shift into first (hits the bike stand... lol).

CT = coarse thread
FT = fine thread

The 250 uses CT.

Bought them and I'm excited! Remember if you're a friendly neighbourhood Canadian like me that you cannot pay using the PayPal option - international customers must select the option of receiving the billing by an email invoice as their system calculates international shipping and insurance incorrectly. Ended up clicking the wrong button and scrambling to pay Blair an extra 4.70$. Blair has been really awesome [and patient] to deal with and was answering questions of mine well into the night.

I can't shift into first gear and thus can't shift into neutraly.

I thought it was due to the lever hitting the bike stand but that doesn't appear to be it. This is driving me nuts. Spent way too much time already trying to figure it out... Sigh.

I just wanna ride. ;(

geeze...and here I was thinking that doing the brake side would be the most difficult....hooking up the pressure switch...

maybe the bike was in gear when you took the old set off?

Don't see why that would affect anything. Shifts perfectly fine from 2nd up but can't seem to drop to first.

I must be doing something dumb.

I appreciate the help.

Perhaps if I saw a picture of someone who has theirs working.

Finished installing all of my mods and this is the only thing stopping me from going on a ride. Sadness.

Update:

Well I put back the stock clutch pedal and it seems I still have the same issue... Odd. Wonder if I threw off the shifter knob.

Haha sorry, yeah I did figure it out. Blair, I cannot speak highly enough of his support, helped point me in the right direction.

The shifter knuckle on the spline coming out of the engine was a bit out of alignment.

Also I was testing whether the bike could shift into first while it was on a stand... The bike needs to be in motion to shift into first... lol.

Yeah. Felt kinda dumb. But at least everything is gravy now.

I am waiting for a sunny day so I can take some pics of everything. Been forecast for like 2 friggen' weeks and this week isn't looking any better.
