After what you said yesterday Eric, If you want to come by the house one day. I will get that baffle off for you. Although my 250 may be on loan at the time. Mike has to have his bike in service for a couple of days, and he has no other transportation. I might loan it to him.

I may want to ride yours around the block a few times to see how much louder it actually is without the baffle. When we went on that Corrillo Ride though, yours sounded better than mine tone wise, in my opinion.

Well. You won't be able to this week. I am letting Mike borrow it. His is going to be in the shop for a couple days and he has no other vehicle. It will be funny though listening to him bitch about how slow it is to his 955...lol

Looks like I'm going to be out of commission for at least a week or so. A few guys here already know the story, but my bike was run into while parked at my apartment complex. The guy apparently tried to run after too, but the guy that lives below me is a FHP officer. He hopped in his car and turned on the lights and sirens and brought the guy back to the scene. He has insurance too, so it's all going to be covered.

I won't be able to ride it until it's fixed though. The main issue is it overheats when I run the engine for more than a few minutes from what appears to be a coolant leak. It's leaking onto the front tire so I'm assuming it's a cracked radiator. It's also missing a left mirror ha. The damage was appraised at $2,400 and that's before they take off the fairings and check out anything else that might have been damaged. I should have the initial check by the end of the week and then who knows how long to order the parts and get it fixed. Hopefully I'll be back riding by next Thursday...

My rearsets are getting shipped out tomorrow; got the email from Dennis today. So if anybody wants to help me install them (nudge nudge Eric), let me know when is good for you and we'll try to work it around my class schedule. My days off are this Sunday (15th), the Sunday after (22nd), and that Friday (27th).

Busy busy I see. I can give you a hand too. I have tools and a garage. So after a day on my 250, Mike is thinking about buying one for his commute to work.

Hi! My name is Brandy, I live in Cocoa Beach. I just bought a 2008 ninja 250, blue. I'm such a newbie, it's ridiculous. But i did just take my motorcycle safety course and I got my license on Monday. I basically went into the course with no experience, not even with driving manual cars and I passed with flying colors so I guess I'm a quick learner. I'm waiting for my new helmet and jacket to arrive in the mail this week, so I have just been riding around my block. I love the bike... I found this forum randomly while researching turn signal information and i didnt realize how popular this bike is. I'll be venturing on the road soon, and I was just curious about the "250 meetup." It might be a while before I make it that way, but I thought I'd say hello!

Hey brandy, we are looking for suggestions on group rides also. If there are any good restaurants or good roads in Cocoa, we could easily ride out that way. It's great to see more girls in the group. Can't wait to meet you and see you on a ride.
This site ninjette.org is a great resource for ninjette owners. There are alot of knowledgable riders on this site and a few in town and in our group. The ninja 250 is a fun bike as you are going ro find out if you haven't already.

Welcome to riding! Just take it easy until you're used to the bike. We tend to be pretty reserved in group rides, there are people with all kinds of skill levels, and we try to stay at the lowest common denominator, if you know what I mean.

By that, I mean we put Adam in front.

I kid...

We should have a ride to Cocoa some time. We can go all touristy and go to Ron-Jons...

Been having a lot of time issues. Work over nights 12 hours on weekends. then in school for 12 hours tuesdays and thursdays. Sorry for the people who waited at sns last thursday for me, a buddys car broke down and needed help, so i was there for the rescue. Any ways, if we ever get anything going late monday, or any time (kinda) wednesdays, lll try to make it to some of thoses. With the time is why i havnt returned most calls or texts, since I sleep when I get them or are in school (sorry ). So yeah. In fact, im writing this while at work lol.

Any who. will be around soon hopefully. And Eric I read you are having brake issues, dont hire some place and py th 70 dollars just to bleed your brakes, thats such a waste of money. And this is coming from a guy who buys the priceyest things just because most of it looks good.

Also, im unshimming my bike. Shimmed makes me actually start with the choke more.Granted I can ride off amost immediately after taking the choke down, Im still loosing too much mpg for my liking. I also feel like I have power loss. :-\ Too much to be happy with. Now considering getting the Driven ClipOns, But as of right now Im not sure when that will be. Saving mula for a tattoo and a new car. Woot woot. lmao.

... did I just say car? yeaahhhh... well... i need a way to work when its freezing or when im doing a 12 hour shift. Sometimes cages are ok.

Alright, I'll see what my schedule will allow. I'll probably come over with my laptop and a mic to record it too so I can do a baffle vs. no baffle sound sample for everyone to hear.

Cages are overrated haaaa. My truck just went through $60 worth of gas in about 8 days....not fun. Although I know you mention the Scion TC, which I used to own a few years ago. That car got killer MPG, I averaged 30-35mpg but that was mostly highway to and from work. It was also extremely reliable, as I hit 85k miles without any issue. Just the typical oil changes, and new tires. Also not a bad looking car for the money.

Also still no ETA on when I'll be back in action with the mighty green 650....Still waiting on the parts.

Anyone? Does the 106 links sound right? I'm having some slipping and I think it's my sprockets, so I'm ordering new ones today. I could live with the master clip if I have too.

And....

Link to original page on YouTube.

The rider was OK. He spent about 20 minutes in an ambulance, and they let him go. Looks like he got a bit of rash and tweaked his wrist.

I have another long video... it'll take a while to upload, but I'll link it up here.

I've never seen as many bikes in one place doing the same thing (other than parking). There were over 800 bikes out there, Everyone's best guesstimate was over 1,000. A really nice ride.

I was amazed at how many bikes were there. We held up traffic on all roads leading to I-4 for the section the ride was on for at least 30-45 mins. I'm sure there were plenty of people that were pissed, but that's why you should check the traffic reports to see if these sort of things are going to happen. We had to have at least a 3+ mile long line of bikes going down I-4.

Now those of us that were there saw that both Fox35 and News13 were there. However I can't find any reports of the event in the news. Also nothing other than the drill team accident so far on youtube.

I'll try to post my view of the accident and a few pics as well. You want to start a small picture thread or should I?
