That information is above my pay-grade, BUT it is a good mod to do if you change your pipe, or get a lot of popping. The free way to do this mod is to plug the hose, but it isn't as clean and pretty.

Yeah, I don't expect a slip-on will open up your exhaust flow to sufficiently lean out the already-lean to get the popping/minor backfires that are characteristic of bikes with the Kleen Air and modded engine airflow.
It's also pretty easy to cut one of these yourself out of some steel (or even aluminum) plate with a dremel.

Question
So,if I end up taking my bike in to a shop to have the jet kit installed and dynoed (full Area-P installed). Should I get a plate and have them do it at the same time? Or can it be done later on if the bike pops and backfires?

Block it off before the dyno or your A/F readings may be off. Or pinch off the hose when on the dyno.
