I think cracks can be pretty well repaired with ABS cement, from the pic I'd guess thats what he did. I'd test his work by gently bending and shaking the fairing, any weakness and it needs to be redone/reinforced or scrapped for a new one

Just mah quirks and weirdness
Actually the 17k bike is stock except the cut rear fender, powder coated exhaust, and flush mounts. No other mods at all just cosmetic.

I know, I don't like any of it. It's like its someone else's bike (well I mean it is, but you know what i'm saying). And yea, I could change it myself but like I said, I'm weird and would prefer everything stock. It's not that I wouldn't buy the bike but given the decision between that one and a stock one, I'd go stock and probably just replace the fairing with a new one

Yeah I know and I do like the 2011 because of the white faced gauges, and the blacked out middle section of the exhaust. The lower miles I also like, plus I know you are following one of my other threads and my daughter will get her green bike for a couple months. I can also ride the bike in it's current state if his repair is good enough until winter comes and I paint and throw my own mods at it.

From my other thread. "I am pro white bikes but my daughter want's daddy to have a green bike since green is her favorite she tells me." But yeah she is ready to ride I just need to lower the bike about 4 feet for her.

Found another one 09 SE green, black, and white with 8k on the clock. Price is $2,200, has painted stock windscreen, and fender eliminator. Has been dropped on right side very lightly, and only has scuffs, no cracks like the other one.

Left side

Right Side (You can see the scuffs in the white portion of the paint)

Fender Eliminator (Does not look like a integrated taillight, but has no turn signals )

Looks like left side has a dent in the tank or is it just the lighting.

Was looking into Koso and Ecotrons but I will stick with the stock gauges and carbs. Lots of extra money and no real benefit.

Jiggles is correct! Show up with 2K, offer 1800 and if he won't go for it, give him the 2K! Sounds like its a great bike for the money, so go for the win!

That tank does look dented. Scuffs are better than cracks but the lack of turn signals worries me. Ask if there has been a valve adjustment (due at 7500mi) ask to see a receipt. No valve adjustment = no deal

Dented tank is a no deal for me. I called the guy but no answer. That will be the first thing I ask. Yeah I was looking at the maintenance sticky and have questions lined up for whatever bike I go for. How much is a valve adjusment?

Yeah I guess so, I am thinking about doing the led gauge swap. Better color and a little fly'er.

Depends if you want to just check the valve clearences or if they need to swap out the shims if the valves are out of spec. I think the check and adjustment runs around $200-300, although it can be performed in a couple of hours if you follow a DIY or video guides.

I was on my way to buy a new 2012 250 from a dealer when I saw my current bike, a 2011 all black 250 all stock never dropped posted for $4500. It had 3k miles and was everything I wanted, an exact replica of my dead bike. I paid the guy $4000 (what I got back from insurance). So ****, anything you get is a ****ing steal to what I can get

I would never own a pre gen, they have them around me for 1k with 4k on the clock, in great condition and I just can't bring myself to buy one. I like the angry monkey. It's too bad Bryan's son beat the **** out of him and then he moved out of the closet a few episodes later.

This bike is 2 blocks from me and I watched him crash this bike going down the road in a straight line. No bumps, gravel, nothing just fell straight off the bike. Told him I would give him $1,800 for the bike in it's current state. He still rides with no side marker lights and the half assed paint job from a krylon can. There are so many runs in that paint, and spider cracks, and not too mention it is peeling off, and he still wants $2,700. He said it was laid down before he bought it. Bull ****

Compared to what you can get I think 1800 is too much for a 2 tone 250

Now you are starting 2 see things my way. There are so many options around me and I am just trying to find the best deal so I can get my gear and sort of make the bike my own, like a house warming gift for the bike. She will get a nice garage that provides heat in the winter and a/c in the summer. Plus lots of love and care.

Hey, $2000 is still a great deal for that other bike

The one your neighbor laid down looks like all 3 front fairings are cheap knockoffs

They are ebay fibergalss. He is a young kid and traded a atv and $500 for the bike. It does have a danmoto jisu slip on which cost a whopping $135 and sounds like some turds that I have let out recently. He told me the exhaust was $600 and I told him he was retarded.
