Also there was something sensationalistic about the "coming of the end of the world". I would read economic blogs like Mish and accepted their viewpoints with confirmation bias. I read what I want to read and listened to what I wanted to hear. One day, I listened to the arguments of the opposite side such as reading this site. Both sites use "facts" to illustrate their points but Bonddad uses objective analysis and facts to talk about what he observes in the economy. They dont impose political opinion much at all compared to Mish.

Reading Bonddad has grounded me. It made me think, maybe I was wrong. Maybe I need to be more objective of considering what is really going on. Everyone loves to hear they're right, shouldnt we also listen to why we're wrong and examine it? Shouldn't we keep a more open mind?

The real problem with California is Proposition 13. If you think otherwise, you havent done the research.

You underestimate the American. We have been, and can be a world leader in manufacturing again...IF we stop abusing the corporations that would provide this opportunity to us.
In a litany of mistatements, incorrect interpretations, and a fundamental misunderstanding of how a national economy actually works, the quote above stands head and shoulders above the rest.

The funny part is that I'm not an Obama supporter. I just like mocking the ignorant. The most straightforward binary argument to make this entertaining is that anyone who didn't vote for:

voted for:

In the world of political rants, academic arguments about ideology, optimal economic strategies, it really comes down to that. And that's what will continue to remain funny, as far as one could possibly predict.

Well, he was right 20-30 years ago. Maybe he meant manufacturing technology

Small Business is ****ed because the banks and visa are crooks and consumers no longer have money, jobs or credit. Assuming the government had anything to do with it would infer they still have some control of the economy and we all know that's not true. The only control of the economy they have anymore is where they spend our money (and the money the federal reserve prints for them). Someone made sure the US was 10T in the hole before someone else even had a shot at trying to deal with it.

Its really simple what is wrong. The bankers have bought the politicians. The people are getting screwed. Our politicians no longer represent us the people.

The premises that the author of this video bases his arguments on are flawed from the start. I will admit I didn't watch more than 2 minutes, but the foundations of his argument are made out of quicksand. Honestly, any argument against our "current enslavement to 'the system'(which is usually a socialist's closet word for capitalism)" sounds like the beginning of another argument in favor of Socialism/Fascism with a different name.

EDIT: Ok, I watched it all the way through. I like his quote at the end about how this economic model would be "cataclysmically better" than the current system. I was right, this guy is proposing a slight variance of international socialism.

In the end, he is just another left wing radical(yes he claimed radical change was needed) that has almost zero understanding of economics. Marx, who actually somewhat understood the foundations of classical economics, would be very disappointed to know that so many of his followers don't even understand the foundations of his arguments.

We can be a manufacturing country again. We still have some of the brightest people on the planet, we still have material resources, and we still have individuals with the drive and entreprenur attitude that can do this. The only limiting factor is COST. Property taxes, corporate taxes, epa strangling....the government has utterly destroyed the american dream with this stuff.

When you have a administration that has created an economic environment that causes people not to be willing to dream big, and go big...youve effectively destroyed the american dream.

You can try to chasize reagan all you want, but the simple fact is that while he was in office, we saw the biggest increase in economic explosion since beforee the depression. Companies like apple, microsoft, etc. all started during reagans administration, and primarily because he created an economic environment that not only encouraged the american people to dream big, but to go big......and they did.

Now we have an administration that would like to destroy those companies because they say its not fair for them to be wealthy. You all sound like a bunch of whiney spoiled brats.

Go earn your own piece of the pie, and quit trying to steal it from everyone else

No, when people get confused with the unending entertainment focused "news", and disappointed in their own economic lot, they get downright silly.

No-one's chastizing Reagan, they're chastizing you. (for clarity, Microsoft and Apple were founded during Ford & Carter, respectively, and grew most quickly in the 90's).

And yet you still can't point to a single piece of legislation, vote, decision, or anything else specific that shows this administration to by any more anti-business than the prior. You bring up these "facts" as if a group will agree with you on faith.
