Yeh he said it needs new tires in a month or two. How much do they go for? If I can go see it this weekend I could only take 1500 with me unless its still available next weekend then I'd take the full amount, well see. Maybe that other guy with the 2005 wont have anyone come see it lol.

Edit 7,000 miles on it. Not a scratch on it he says man I'd feel like **** dropping this lol. I would deff pay 1500 maybe a little more but not 2k.

I didn't get a chance to see it. Family had an issue come up on friday morning so I had to let the guy know I was going to be out of town for the weekend. It sucked..but I still see the ad online. I let him know I will be going this weekend if he is available so I'm trying to see if one of my friends wants to come check it out as well.

I wonder what type of offers he has been getting because he listed this thing 3 times, the first time starting at 2500, then again at 2200, then twice more at 2000. He has multiple ads on there with the same bike just a different name.

If you search CL under lehigh valley for "Ninja 250R" you will see what I'm talking about.

As for the 2005 model in bumble**** I haven't heard from him at all if he sold it or watever.

OK he can't find a buyer for this bike. He's giving you some info about people "being really interested and might buy" because he isn't going to want to come down on the price... nobody really does lol. You need to see what you can do about checking out this bike ASAP. With the price dropping on it so rapidly I'm a little worried something might be wrong with it.... but IDK it's still worth looking into... Why do you need someone to go with you??? Just go look at it, ride it around the parking lot. Peak the rpm's see how it sounds. check the exhaust, tires, inside gas tanks.... check the chain brakes.. you know the routine. Just go see the bike!

I haven't actually been on a bike yet since my MSF is coming up in June. So I would have my friend ride it back to my apartment or store it at his house until I get some gear and take the class. I know what to check for, the pictures look really good. Guessing could be something wrong or everyone has been lowballing him.

I'm only taking out 1800 with me when I go. Need to leave some in the bank in case my bank is retarded and decides to post transactions I did weeks ago, about 2-3 weeks later as updated. Had this happen multiple times.

So far I have not seen any new entrees on CL for decent bikes. There's an 08 with cracked fairings and scratches for 2700 about 45 min from me; I don't wand to spend that much yet if I don't have to.

Yeh I emailed him right away. If it doesn't need anything and runs fine I'd pay his asking price but otherwise I bet I could get it for 12 for it being kinda old. He's 1 hour 43 minutes away I'll have to find a buddy with a truck haha.

Hmm if I could get this one down to 2k I would get this instead no doubt about it. It has cracked or scratched fairings but as long as its running fine and it does not impede anything mechanically I like the new styles:

You think this one is the same as the one that was deleted? Seems to be in the same city area. Hmm don't think like making offer over the email but I also don't wanna drive 2 hours to find out he is prolly not flexible on price. I was thinking saying 2k..this one has cracks on both sides.

Momma always told me if something sounds to good to be true it usually is. This deal sounds WAY to good to be true and its not that bike will be gone in a day better snatch it up quick.

Yeh that guy won't respond, this happened to me last time. I emailed some person twice by accident because I thought I had already emailed them, only to tell me they had sold it. Wish they would leave phone numbers instead.

The green one's ad had been up beginning yesterday so I'm pretty sure I contacted him right away.

Ok Here is an 01? Too old I'm thinking honestly hmmm..

You should check the upstate craigslists here in Rochester buffalo and Syracuse. I have found them for 1000 or less running and ridding . It would be worth it to go a bit further .
I have a truck if you want to pay for my fuel.

I played the gmae with a local dealer not long ago on an 07. They wanted MSRP for it and it had like 5k miles. The dealer tried to pull the old "that helps us recoup our costs of the maintenance overhaul" on me. (I wasn't really buying, I just needed to kill some time and not be home). So I said "You did a full service?" He says yes. I asked how many shims they used for the valve adjustment, he said "only a couple - the valves were pretty close to spec." (for those that don't know - the pre-08s do not have shims.) Then I asked about the bone stock tires and he said they're only "a couple years old" but the date stamp was 3706 front and xx06 rear, meaning they were original to the bike. The only thing that looked right was the plastics were in GREAT shape.

And they wonder why we call them stealerships...

I live in Georgia and was gonna drive 120 miles one way to Alabama to get a 2007 with 9,500 miles for $1,300 but found the exact same one (same color, year, and milage (9400)) at a car dealership for $2,000...offered them $1,500 and they accept it. I have put a thousand miles on it already and love it! I feel like I got very lucky with price and condition especially when I hear stories like yours and what I see around Craig List and Cycle Trader. GOOD LUCK BRO!

Yeh you got a great deal. Sounds like that was a small private dealership or something. I found out one of my professors from college has a ninja he may sell but my luck it will be a newer gen model that I can't afford. I've contacted him about it so I can get details, I was one of his best students I should get a discount haha.

I'm still planning to go see the 06 Blue model that's still listed for 2k this weekend. That guy probably doesn't want to let the price go it seems from how many ads he posted.

The more ads he posts, the harder the time he is having selling it.... maybe your prof will take payments........ throw in an extra hundred if he does..... specially if its newer!

Yeh my proff is a pretty cool dude I've worked at his company the summer before I graduated and even went to Germany with him to work on some IT project one spring. I'm pretty sure as long as he is not asking over 3k I could work something out. All he said was its a green SE model.

Other than that if the Blue one is still available I lined up a buddy from college to come down with me and check it out this weekend.

Ok texted the guy with the blue one he said its fixed at 2k..probably won't waste my time going there then, I bet it will be there for a while. He won't take 1800 I offered. My professor is selling an 09 for 2400 green SE model. If I could afford that I would grab it right away. Maybe I could talk him down to 2k.

He never responded to my offer of 1800 lol and I did not consider it as a lowball considering its been on there for a month or more. I wanna try and see if the proff will sell me his for 2k, that would be a great deal, but he's prolly busy teaching a class now lol we were talking on gchat.
