I despise the "smart post" crap usps has going on. It basically translates into you will get it when by chance we have a full truck going out that way.

^ this
Just quick update, my brembo setup has been working flawlessly, love it. When I did the initial swap It had been a few months since I had ridden so it was hard for me to remember what stock brakes felt like, I knew my new setup was better but by how much? The other day I got to jump on a stock 250 for a few minutes and wanted to see what the brakes were like for comparison. It was night and day on many levels, power, feel, of the new set up is so much better but that should go with out saying considering what I ended up with As far as the bracket, again, no issues what so ever, everything is tight like a tiger and looks great as well.

@bruce71198
kind of got off the budget track for that piece of the puzzle brembo 15RCS https://www.ninjette.org/forums/show...&postcount=129 I feel like the 15mm is a really good size for the setup i have now and a 16 could possibly be just a hair better but I will never know. So 15 is definitely great, would a 16 make things a little to wooden? I doubt it but only one way to find out.

^ I got by with the stock MC for 2 weeks but I had to tone things down for sure when riding and it was clear that the stock MC was not going to cut it. I'm sure I could have got by with a take off 15 or 16 from an older zxr, r6, ect...
If I were you going to the track I would really try to get a 15mm MC on there before hand, will give you a lot more performance for sure.

From old3's results he said the stock M/C was about a perfect match for the tokico (he used various M/Cs and calipers), so does this mean your confirming stock M/C and tokico? I have a trackday monday and thats what im running haha. i got vesrah HH pads on it, and if i squuze REALLY hard i can just about get the lever to hit the handle bar. Im pretty sure i have no need to pull that hard...i need to take it around the block but its been super rainy here. I bled the brakes and it still didnt feel "right" so i did the zip tie for 24 hr which seem to help quite a bit.

So,
I tore down my tokiko to rebuild it with fresh new seals... I saw, that on mine, it has the bolt that secure the two brake lines to the caliper, one from the M/C and the one that goes to the left caliper. Since I only need one line, can I use the bolt from my OEM caliper from the Ninja? I guess so, but what have you done? Thanks, |

yeah it's possible the brembo caliper I have is a good bit different than the Tokico regarding all that physics/math/force blah blah blah stuff. So it seems like Bruce thinks his setup is good enough for now.
Like I mentioned, my brembo with the stock MC was not acceptable

I'll install the stainless steel lines that I bought in a group buy here...
I've wanted to know which bolt you use to secure the brake line, the one from the tokico caliper (mine has holes for two lines) or the one from the OEM (kawasaki) caliper. Thanks, |

I wonder if people looking for info on brake upgrades are checking the classifieds? Maybe this thread should be moved to tech.

They look great BBoP! So, do you have any Tokico matched brackets for a 320 rotor? I'm still running my steel- hand fabbed plate and spacers with a knock off 320mm and 6p Hyabusa caliper pushed by a Ninja 650 master. Thanks for getting this done for the riders! Well done! |

The final ones shipped this morning, thanks guys! Let me know if you have any feedback. Mine performed great at the track on Monday, my brake lever is a little squishy, more than likely needs another good bleed but it worked great.

Never checked into it, most people avoid wanting a stronger rear brake. personally, the stock brake is more than adequate to lock up the rear pretty easily even with stock pads. If you find a caliper youd want to use though i can see if its do-able

I've purposely left my rear brake spongy because of how bloody easily it locks up. No upgrade necessary.
