Just want to share what I did with my FZ16 Hugger.
As you can see, I made the flat bars longer. Reason for this is to be able to adjust the position of the hugger (or i should say balance the space on the left and right side) because you can force the flat bars to bend, and then the plastic will just follow. I will also try to ask the Yamaha Philippines Plant here if they have stocks of this hugger. I just bought mine straight from a dealer. |

I forgot to mention that Im using a 4.5 rear wheel and a bridgestone Battlax Bt-090. That is why my method is somewhat complicated by using longer flat bars because it more more difficult to install this hugger with wide rims and tires compare with stock rims and tires.
Some more Photos installed already. |

Can you guys take me off the list? I guess this hugger is not gonna be for me, cause I don't think I have the luxury of the time to get this to fit my baby ): too much stuff to do, too little time.

i started to type a reply the other day, but then the power cut, and i lost everything.
anyhow, i asked at yamaha how long it would take to order these, and they told me that it would take about 2~4 weeks to get them delivered (regardless if its just 2 or 20). im not going to order anything until we know exactly who will be the receiver, and have money in my hands. otherwise you guys will need to do it through Mexico, hehe... thats all from my end for now

Sweet, so I guess we just need to figure who is actually in, shipping logistics and cost, then break it down into how much each...
Oh yeah, and who is gonna be the receiver. |

Here is an idea...
Hi, is this Indonesia Yamaha? Yes, I would like to buy 30 of these huggers. Instead of shipping them from from Japan or China to Indonesia, can you just send them to this USA address? KTHXBAI I'm interested in getting one if this group buy works out. I need something to keep all that junk off the shock. |

ive given the breakdown of the price a couple times. and ive explained that i cant guestimate the shipping price until i have the all of them here, packed, measured and weighed. at that point i can then give a couple solutions for the shipping (DHL, Post, or Freight)
DHL: fast (5 ~7 days), but expensive! Post: a little slower 10~14 days), but still expensive. Freight: slow (possibly 4~6 weeks) should be the cheapest solution. order time would be around 2 to 3 weeks. HOWEVER, we are just about to have a 1 week long national holiday (end of Ramadan) so everything will be closed until the 5th of September. meaning that it would be 2~3 weeks from the 5th~ im asking for $6 per Gugger, atm there are 22 ppl, so that would be $132, which i can request through paypal. it would make my life easier if just one person can transfer me this sum. rather than having to deal with 22 separate transactions! got enough to deal with already as it is, between ordering the parts, picking them up, packing them, and getting shipping prices. when i have all the huggers ill give the various shipping options and prices, and yall can decide what to use. at which point ill request the rest of the money. considering that it would cost $35 + possibly tax + national shipping if you were to get it from mexico, i think it should be possible to get it for a better price from this side of the globe, and no deaths need to be risked to go into mexico, lol! cheers, W.

i have a feeling that these huggers are made here in indonesia. i cant imagine that they are made in china, then shipped to indonesia, and then sent to the various dealerships for THAT cheap. but hey, anything is possible right.
the group buy is still open for more to join. it will close when someone sends me money to buy them, lol... regardless how many it may be. just add your name to the list and hope that someone will pick up the ball on your end and initiate the process. W. Quote:

Thanks for the help Wayan. PM me your paypal and I'll send you $150 for 25 huggers (if anyone else wants to join, now's the time to ask). Might as well get this ball rolling.
Bunch of Socal-ers on the list so they can save on shipping by picking it straight from me (San Diego). |

The final cost to people will depend on the type of shipping to here. It will be $6 for the hugger + international shipping / amount of buyers + shipping from CA to your home. When Wayan orders the huggers, it takes a few weeks for him to get them and then he can let us know the shipping options. |

Are we suppossed to send payment after they arrive in the US, before shipping to individual houses? That is what I thought the last thing discussed was, and just making sure I understood right.

I think Cuong just "manned up" and went ahead paid Wayan for the huggers. Once Wayan gets them and packages them, he can figure shipping to Cuong. So we will need to figure out how to pay Wayan for the shipping and reimburse Cuong for the 6$ hugger plus shipping to our individual locations.
