I cut up a yoshimaura header. It had swiveling head pipe flanges. I figured it was one less thing to line up. And after two weeks of cutting and welding. I would have used this or springs.

Just spoke with an engine expert and he said I will burn up the 02 sensors. I should mount them down stream from the turbo 18 inches and 20 deg from vertical.
This is for UEGO sensors. Looks like I have to read all about 02 sensors now

OK after three tries the turbo is in place. High enough to drain oil back to the crankcase. Close enough to the head so the wheel will not touch.
Now I need to rethink the exhaust pipe from the turbo. I guess I need to get one wide band sensor and use it for both cylinders. I guess i can use an a/f gauge off the sensor also. Next step is oil feed and return lines and fittings.

This is a better shot. Just throwing together stuff with fittings I have around. The hose will get replaced with steel braided stuff.

Just an update
I have the header finished and will finish the rest of the exhaust tomorrow. I am making an exhaust pipe that will hold a single wide band o2 sensor. This sensor from Ecotron. Will read the air fuel ratio send a signal to the computer so it can adjust the ratio automatically. Plus I will have a gauge. This information will also down load and play back later. I have the fuel tank finished 1.5 gallon with two outlets and a nice air vent. Plus an extra inlet if I need it. The next step is the seat and rear swing arm. I have a lot of stuff to put on this bike. Wires ,hoses ,computers. I need to get my seating position together before I mount anything. Nothing will happen with this build for another two months. I need to order my seat. It will take a months or two to make.

I have not had any clutch issues since switching to a Barnett Clufch and springs. But if I do then I will have a lock up clutch and custom side cover.

I finished the exhaust system. It it painted, welded and wrapped . I made a little bracket to support it . It has a single wide band O2 sensor. The next step is to get the intercooler made.
I also finished the center stand. I just needed to make a stop. It normally sits on the muffler. But I don't have a muffler so it went to high up and the spring would fall off.

If you mean exhaust restriction. Then yes. Back pressure seems to help. I had my exhaust open. And also just cut off short. Long and open with just the right amount of back pressure works best. But with a turbo. Wide open for now.

We set six records in two classes. And everyone went home safe. Then it started to rain. Now there is four inches of water on the salt. They hope it will dry out by the 18th. The big boys are trying to go five hundred mph with four wheels and four hundred on two.. but mother nature says different.

I made a little progres. I ordered the swingarm extentions. They will move the wheel 4-6 inches back. I need a lot of room to adjust the chain for different gear combos. And to comply with the rules the fairing can be more than three inches behind the tire. This is a small tire but it is about in the right place.
Once the wheel and fairing is inplace I can make the seat then mount the shifter breakpedal and the throttle/ clutch cable.

Funny you should mention the rules. Fortunately I am friends with the head tech inspector for the AMA and the FIM. He took one look at it and said I better measure. Modified rules are no more than 10% wheel base extention.
The package says four to six inches of extention with the plug in pieces I just bought. Well its more like five to eight. Stock wheelbase is 55.1 inch and I have to show documentation for that. 55.1 + 5.51 (10%) = 60.61. The minimum wheel base I can get it 61 inch. If I have to pull the chain tight it gets bigger. Also if I want to run the open class with no front fairing I can not allow the rear fairing to go past the rear tire at all. So I need a front fairing. And I am pushed to into the altered class. That makes the new proper designation ((Altered Partial Streamliner / blown fuel 350)). APS/BF-350 This is the big time.
