You do realize that the top speed 250cc 4-stroke record right now is 122 mph right? These are also records set by guys that have spent ten's of thousands of dollars on their bikes to get there.

LOL I only do it when no one is around, there is no wind and I have a straight shot. I don't do it every ride or even every other ride just when I know the timing is right and there are no cops around..... If I were on a group ride I wouldn't do it for my and others safety :P

So today I decided that it would be a smart idea to buy a tire pressure gauge and check my tire pressure. I had taken it to the dealership just a few weeks ago so I figured it had enough tire pressure, but I like to check anyways. I bought a cheap stick type one and tested it...22 PSI front and 26-27PSI rear I thought it was wrong so I tested it on my car, which showed the accurate PSI (I had just filled the car tires).
Then, I decided to hunt down an air pump and check the tires with their gauge and it also showed 22 front 26 rear. I was shocked!! When I filled them to 28/32 and rode away (after nearly slipping and dropping my bike haha) it was a night and day difference in handling and responsiveness. I am so glad I checked, that could be very dangerous riding on really low tire pressures. I am now going to check every week to make sure they have enough air. I am really right now. |

I don't use the choke unless it's cold out. It's unnecessary when it's 75-80 degrees out in the morning, and if it's 90 degrees out during the day, it definitely doesn't need the choke. I turn my bike on, and then I put the rest of my gear on. By the time I'm done that, the bike is ready to go. Not too hard to check the tire pressure too, takes 20 seconds.

The tire pressure has completely slipped my mind, I bought this bike almost a month ago and during all these mods and repairs I have not thought once about checking the tire pressure *gulp* I even changed the valve stem caps XD I'm checking as soon as I get home from work!

Man i dont know many things that are better then riding on a semi hot day and hitting a country road that is covered in a canopy of trees, and has a creek that runs beside it. the mixture of cool winds, and beams of sun peaking through the leaves could calm me down any day!
so today i did the following Changed the oil Cleaned him up Changed the coolant Aired the tires up Changed the valve stem caps :P went on a nice test drive through the country part of Nashville and took my 4 year old around the block. im trying to get off my lazy ass atm and start plastic welding some cracks in the fairings, but i worked 60 hours this week and have to go back to work in 10 hours T_T

All this tire pressure talk sounds familiar, just checked and adjusted all these tires and went for a 80 mile ride today through the hills of Brown County.

Attached a dollar store watch to my key guard and stared longingly at my bike hoping for a reason to take it out and ride in the rain.
Also that bike is so happy: |

Installed my chain and sprockets aftermarket stock size sprockets are slightly lighter. Unfortunately my master link clip is messed up do I'll need a new one. Damn end would not close back when I popped it in. Took me an hour because I lost the master link plate opening the little baggy it was in and then the issue with the clip. Photobucket app not working right now.

Installed an ASV F3 brake lever (standard length). Took about 2 minutes, 1 bolt to remove and applied some lithium grease.
Love the lever so far, the amount of adjustability suits my womanly baby hands perfectly. Hopefully I can practice my braking/blipping and see some more improvement. Hm, now I'm debating whether or not to get an ASV clutch lever to match, although I don't have any problems with the stock clutch lever at all. |

I added some reflective tape, helped a boy half install LED signal mirrors on his Ninjette. We got all the wiring done and troubleshooted, new relay, and mirrors prepped, just needed a different tool kit (drill and socket wrench) than what I had on hand to complete the project. Getting it finished this weekend!

Not a Ninjette, but I thought I'd post anyways. Got a Zero Gravity Corsa windscreen (sorry guys, they don't make this one for the Ninjette; you should all email ZG and request it though, cause it's a nice screen; it is a noticeable improvement/difference compared to a double bubble) and ASV shorties.
I went from: To: Now I just need to decide if I want to get the RR bar ends I've been eyeing in black or in red... hmmm.... |

Cleaned my chain for the first time today, used about damn near half a bottle of Dupont Motorcycle Degreaser. Was surprised how clean it looked after the clean and applied some lube afterwards.

Opened my airbox and saw that I didn't have an air filter, repainted my chain guard, touched up engine paint and some engine parts, cleaned and lubed gas cap (opens as if it was new!), repainted the lower fairing grill and radiator guard, and cleaned my exhaust pipes and headers so I can start sanding them and put some primer on them. Just trying to distract myself with little things until my petock rebuild kit comes in
