Did mine last night. Didn't have L-brackets so I cut a tab out of the existing fender to mount the stock plate bracket. Also, drilled out the stock blinker mount rivets (hated the hooks) and used the reflector bracket to relocate the blinkers.
It's a bit wider, angled and lower than I'd like, but I'll eventually get L-brackets when I have more time to redo it. AND it costs me nothing. |

It took me days to do mine. I'm not sure why, but I found it took me annoyingly long to do everything. Taking off the fairings for the first time took me a while, and so did hooking everything back up. I ran into a few speed bumps when certain things didn't fit, or bolts were too long or short so I had to go to the hardware store a few times to get everything I needed. I used simple L brackets with some bolts, washers and locking nuts. For the plate lights I spliced 2 LED bolts together and soldered them onto the original wiring with the stock harness.
Here are the results: |

Ermax
I think the French based company, Ermax, has a nice looking fender eliminator (although their term is plate holder).
Taken off their web site: "LED plate light and standard plate holder are provided The special SUP09 alu plate holder (see pictures) is included TRI led indicators are available in option for 38,40€ more Fastening kit and fitting instructions are provided Many colors available" Link with more photos: http://www.silverstonemotor.com/kawa...0811-peint.cfm |

I like Ermax's "plate holder" also. In fact, it might be one of my favorite fender eliminator designs. I forgot to add that there is a US distributor for Ermax called Frog Specialties. They only have two items for the Ninja 250R and not in stock. They charge slightly more than what the French web site offers them at. Note: these two parts are not presently listed on FS's web site. I contacted Philippe with FS about this eliminator and here was his reply minus the photos: (Their fender eliminator is competitively priced but their bubble screens aren't.) Hello Here are the photos of the 2 items we have for Ninja 250. We have none of these parts in stock and they must be ordered. ETA 3-4 weeks to us in So Cal. Fender Eliminators are $140 painted. Turn Signals are $40 additional. They are stick on flush mounted LEDs. Dual Bubble screens are $115 in clear, grey, bronze ; $125 in lite black, dark black or any color Sincerely Philippe -- FROG SPECIALTIES since/depuis 1987 Auto/Moto Import-Export BERINGER brakes ERMAX motorcycle products 4050 Spencer Street, Suite i Torrance, CA 90503 Tel : (USA) 310-370-9856 Fax: (USA) 310-370-9875 frogspecialties@gmail.com www.frogspecialties.com Last futzed with by Tinto; January 20th, 2012 at 09:30 PM. www.ermax.fr
I found Ermax's company web site and looked at their pdf catalog. It is fairly extensive and they appear to be a large company dealing with aftermarket products. Unfortunately, not many are for the little Ninja. Still, worth a look/see.
Here's the link gents: (in English) http://www.ermax.fr/catalogue-Moto-EN |

Not to outdone by the French, a nice looking undertail/seatcowl/fender eliminator/micro plate combo made by Pyramid Plastics in England. Mentioned before on the forum I thought it would be nice comparing the two in this thread.
It's much more expensive at £178.46 GBP ($276.11 USD)! By comparison, Hotbodies undertail's list price is $229.95. Pyramid's Pretty Plastic: |

I did the same modification. The only thing I did was get closer to the natural bend in the fender so it looks clean. Used a Rockwell Oscillating tool and it was super easy. Maybe 30-60 mins because I'm a perfectionist

As I have a friend living in France who was coming to South America I decided to purchase one of the Ermax´s fender eliminators. What a nightmare it was dealing with this company! First, I tried contacting them through their web site but they never responded. Then by email, again no response. I wrote to Frog Specialties about this and he got in touch with them on my behalf and finally heard from Ermax. Philipe with Frog told me that Ermax would not sell direct but this turned out not to be true. I placed my order with them giving them plenty of lead time but they missed the deliver by date because they needed additional paperwork filled out and faxed to them. I placed my order using my credit card but Ermax needed a ¨promise to pay¨ agreement form signed and received before they could ship it. Why a credit card with approval wouldn't suffice is beyond me. As a result I had to wait an additional two months for another courier to bring it to me.
Once received I was eager to install the fender eliminator. It installed fairly easy but did need a little tweaking to fit just right due to my integrated tail light. I purchased the Kawasaki green version along with the LED lights. It also has LED lights for the license plate. The license plate lights are nice but the turn signal LEDs that come with the Ermax fender eliminator aren't very bright. Compared to the LEDs in the CustomLED integrated taillight they are dull. The exterior turn signals on the Ermax look nice but had I known they would be that dull I would not have purchased them. With the green Ermax fender eliminator and Scotts rear hugger accenting the black rear end on my Ninja it looks very nice. I can post photos if someone wants to see it but it looks just like the company´s photos already posted in this thread. My recommendation for anyone considering buying an Ermax fender eliminator is to purchase it from Frog Specialities in California. It will save you time and be less expensive. |

I dumped my bike going very slowly on a gravel driveway so took it into body shop for repair and repainting. After I picked up the bike I noticed that my license plate bracket wasn't positioned properly and upon closer inspection discovered to my horror that the entire bracket on the Ermax fender eliminator was broken. Apparently the body shop backed my moto into something which cracked the ABS housing. I replaced it with a new Ermax fender eliminator but this time positioned my license plate bracket just below the eliminator, drilling two holes in the undertail.
I would not recommend anyone using the plate location that Ermax has designed into their eliminator because it will break when there is enough force applied to the plate, which surprisingly isn't much! I purchased the replacement through the US Ermax distributor, Frog Specialty in California, and it cost much less than ordering the same part directly from the manufacture. |
