I'm working on the new set up now. I'm waiting for a few more parts to come in and then I will post pictures of the end result.

Concerning the eBay Chinese digital clocks overreading, how about moving the sensor to the back wheel? The back wheel has a larger circumference so it would help correct an overreading speedometer.

What was so bad about the eBay gauge? Was it just the speed?

You get a review, video of it being used, with a good diy install and I'll be down for sure for less then 100

Nevermind, I read that you broke it. lol.
I agree with the others that the changes should be made in the sensor, not up in the gauge in order for the speed to display correctly. Either relocate the sensor to the back wheel or work with altering the resistance on that sensor. For testing purposes, you could install a potentiometer (adjustable resistor basically) in the mix and dial it in to get a feel for what size resistor is needed. |

No harm in trying the variable resistor idea but I think it would more likely require something that modifies the signal frequency - something like a Speedo Healer. Unfortunately a Speedo Healer costs the difference between the cheap Chinese clocks and the Koso clocks.
Really disappointed to hear that the Chinese clocks can't be configured like a cycle computer. It's madness to have excluded such a feature! |

If frequency adjustments are your thing, try this:
http://www.jaycar.us/productView.asp...UBCATID=965#11 Only $27 ($25 if you buy 5+) Or this one specifically for Speedo adjustment: http://www.jaycar.us/productView.asp...UBCATID=965#11 $40 ($35 if you buy 5+) EDIT: schnappi is a ninja for sure! We must have been on the same research trail. |

I'm working on a new cluster. I am going to include a nice digital clock and gear indicator on it, then I will post pics.
