Just got mine put on and unfortunately i cant take them for a ride. I know others have tracked them immediately with no ill effects but my kawi dealer told me to take it easy after install for 100 miles until the shiny anti corrosion crap comes off. That has made me a little apprehensive about riding aggressively "out the box" I can see what he means but i dont think it will take 100 miles, maybe 25...cant wait!

I scrubbed mine with Simple Green before my first ride. I'm going to be honest, these tires so so freakin sticky that even if they had Vasoline on them they'd still be better than the IRC tires.

Forgive my ignorance but when you say "scrubbed" do you mean literally scrubbing with a rag soaked in simple green? If so, never heard that method before

Just take it easy and progressively lean more. Soon they'll be ready to go.

People refer to "scrubbing" as riding around gently on a new tire until it reaches a few heat cycles.

I literally scrubbed the outside of the tire with Simple Green.

It's not needed that much anymore. I had mine put on at the track then went out and killed it, first clean lap i had I took 8 seconds off my previous best time and ended up taking like 14 seconds off by the end of the day. Not all of it was the tires but they sure as he'll helped. They wear on then was even and they just stick. As for sizes inwent 110 front 140 rear.

I just progressively broke mine in, with eventually more and more lean.

I just put 700 miles on this weekend. I will tell you now, if you have lots of straight highways and you do lots of mileage in a short period of time, you will burn through these tires quick. I have hit the 4,000 mile mark and they are already squaring out a bit. I have also gotten that worn rubber look that I talked about a while ago. I've concluded that's what happens when you ride on the same spot for a long period of time at 75mph.

Still the best tires I've used, and I'm starting to see alot of other bikes with them too.

4k before squaring isn't too bad. I think I can live with that.

I will probably pass on these then. As awesome as they sound most of my riding is straight commuting and weekend trips. I am riding over 1000 miles a month however(I don't drive my car).

I am looking at Michelin Pilot Activs now. Someone on the CBR forums got 12k out of them and they seem stickier than the IRCs. Anything is an improvement.

Dude I ride atleast 1,200 miles or more a month at times. The only issue I had was when I was doing a continuous 300 miles without stoping or making hardly and lean angle.

These tires are freaking awesome, but it's to your judgment to what you think is best for you.

The shiny part on the edges of the tire that don't get used because you don't lean the whole way over to the edge

I finally got mine installed last Friday. The bike feels completely different now, the tires are so sticky it takes a bit more effort to lean it over :X Well, it feels like it anyway.

You should really feel much of a change, in fact it should be a more gradual lean than falling into it. I hated the stock tires, because I could hold a steady line.

Got 75 miles of easy riding out of the way during my commute today then turned up the dial a bit on some back roads. While driving conservatively I could feel no difference between the PDRII's and the stock tires. I was thinking I had just wasted $350.

But once I began riding a little harder I was really impressed. I was wondering whether what I was feeling was actually happening or if I was inventing it because I wanted it to be true. But I felt as though my lean angle had been decreased when cornering in the PDRII's. I could shift my body weight and the bike would fall into the turn then stick when I got on the throttle. It felt great but last only 15 miles before I had to head home. I can't wait to really put these to the test.

Yeah, around town and slow speed stuff in normal conditions you won't really feel any difference. You will feel more confident in your braking distance though.

As for opening it up in the twisties, there is one hell of a difference. Never knew a street tire could grip on some of the stuff I've taken.

Be safe out there man, let them warm up a bit before pushing them.

The lean angle you can get on these is ridiculous for a 250.

Fantastic picture. Looks like you're having fun. I am yet to lean that far.

is that guy in the photo using the DRII's in the front and rear? or is he using the supercorsa in the front? either way that is still impressive! especially if he is using the street DRII in the front!

He has aftermarket. When you start making a race bike stock parts for the most part become laughable.

Just got mine installed....

One word... WOW!

Although i did have a question since i am coming from the stock IRCs. Did anyone notice the drastic overall feel of the bike when making sharp slow turns? It just felt different and took some getting use too. Maybe i am going crazy..

after all set and done i will never go back to IRCs though! These are that great at speed.

you know, I felt that when I rode my buddy's cbr all last summer, and I just assumed it was the bike, not the tires. I guess that makes sense that the difference would be in the tires, not the bike.

They feel amazing... got about 100km on them so far and man I can definitely feel the difference immediately. They feel so planted and sticky on the road, and are extremely confidence inspiring...

Love them, worth every penny!
