Hero passing a 250 is nothing to be proud of, Alex. Even if your FZ does run on the same number of cylinders.

Anyway, thanks, but it's too late for that. Too bad we never showed up at any of the same SoCal tech days I showed at before I left in September. Not that I would have done anything but bum your help, tools, advice, etc. |

I'm pretty sure with all the stuff your bike is missing FZ is sufficient if not a little overboard itself.

yfzxr6? how about just "that yellow collection of junk" its got parts from zx, fzr, yzf6, r6, yf, ex, and plenty of hand made pieces of junk. surprisingly enough, not a single part from an FZ, though. imagine that.

I'd hate to stir the pot here but I just wanted to say that it's funny how this sh*t went.
I mention to a guy who basically admitted to being a horrible rider/squid/says-"the-MSF-isn't-for-me-even-though-I-have-crashed-my-bike-numerous-times" that I would prefer it if he didn't come out to any of these "SoCal Tech Days" to avoid causing injury to any of the other participants (myself and the rest of you who attended), and I got bashed for it relentlessly, even though I was looking out for the safety of everyone and anyone I thought I became friends with. A certain someone (a/k/a the OP) bashes everyone of you guys who ride on the track now, as opposed to riding the canyons like you guys did a few short months ago, simply because you guys suggested he ride on the track now, meaning you're extending a friendly offer to him to say, "Hey, we can be safe and still have fun," and nobody bashes him. Hmm... So I get bashed for looking out for everyone else's safety, while you all get bashed for looking out for only one person's safety? Oh, the irony. Just wanted to pop in here and say that. I hadn't logged on Ninja in weeks until I got an e-mail saying, "We want you back" or w/e the f*ck it was. I can't remember any more.. Just one of those automated e-mails that pretty much say, "We miss your activity on the forum." You know what I mean? I saw this thread and thought, "Hey, will you look at that! Casey's thread is still going." Turns out it just showed me that I probably shouldn't have logged back onto this site. Oh, well. After I got bashed on this site by people I thought were "friends" of mine (or at least led me to believe they were), I simply made a thread saying if that's how you guys feel, I'll stop hanging out with you fellas. Plain and simple. Then I moved on with my life, which has been all right. Thank you for asking. After you guys simply offered a friendly invitation to a certain someone, he said he'll be seeking revenge against all of you. LOL And yet I was the bad guy, huh? Okay. Enough about that. You guys enjoy yourselves out there. Ride safely.

Actually if you read through the whole thread I believe there was bashing on Casey as well as just about everybody else. I believe it's up to the group to decide if we feel someone doesn't ride safe enough to be included in our little get-together shenanigans or whatever but they should at least be invited to meet up and hang out before we make that decision.
Hope you're riding well out there and haven't had any incidents Umar; ride safe! |

Some people are such little bitches lol This thread is great.
No one said we want to force anyone on the track, or that someone hates someone else because they wont ride track. I dont get the bitching at this point. @ninja250 you're seriously going to get mad at me for not wanting to risk myself in the canyon? Enough **** happens in my 1.5 commute to work that I dont need a mini van who cant turn smash me on GMR. Its nothing against you, I would just rather be on the track and run my bike at 90%-120% then ride the canyon at 25% @CZroe Did you get sand in your vagina too?

All I did was say that a lot of what Casey said seemed directed at you. I didn't take sides in the matter or complain. In fact, I'm really sorry I accidentally bumped this thread. I didn't want anyone arguing or bad-mouthing each other and I saw that inevitably happening if activity resumed here before tempers died down. Last I heard before my own self-imposed break, you guys were friends, so I was curious enough to write two PMs before jumping to conclusions. I quoted the original posts and copied to PMs before sending, but I accidentally clicked the send button in the wrong tab on one (the reply tab I only opened to grab a quote from). Oops. I edited it away right away and made it clear that I meant to PM but I guess that was enough to draw Casey back (he likely got a thread subscription email). Judging by his return post, I think he forgot about the drama until he read some and made further posts in his defense, which only started things back up. Sorry. |

When Umar suggested that the way someone rides may impact our safety at a tech day, he was clearly guilty of equating the two also. People can drive a car to a tech day. I don't think an irresponsible rider is directly affecting my safety if we aren't riding together. Of course, my objection was also related to my incident. No, I'm not really talking about dropping the bike in the dirt when we pulled off at the end of GMR, I'm talking about being extremely late for work because we got suckered into GMR when the tech day was just getting started. I felt suckered in because I had work, could not stay afterwards, and had no intention of going to GMR, but ended up there anyway. I only left the garage on the pretense that it was time for lunch and sending one person to fetch it, as we originally planned, would mean "no drinks." Next thing I know, we are going to Five Guys instead of In-n-Out and we are heading through GMR on the way back. Adrian clearly told me at the burger joint that I had the option of going back on my own, but it would take just as much time because my stuff was locked in his garage and I still felt a little obligated when he wouldn't stop talking about GMR all day (it was clearly the primary reason he even chose to host a tech day). I was hours late because of a combination of the extra time to FG, the entire time through GMR, and the fill-up I needed after that. It took very little time to reattach my blinker and I never got around to investigating my strange chain noises until another day. Anyway, even if time was my only personal complaint, I'm just saying that you'll put a lot of people in a dangerous situation if you consider them to be one and the same and make assumptions about why people are there. I was worried about Umar the entire time because I knew he had the least experience and wasn't sure if he intended to go either. Umar: You were placed in that situation because we didn't divorce the tech day and group ride aspect. Please don't make the same mistake. |

PS: Jeff is right. Track atmosphere is very supportive. I went with the lot once and wasn't talked **** at even once. And I'm talked **** at all the time off track so you do the math. Alex did give me a "ha ha" look as he was passing me on a 250 though. Jerk.
Still love him tho. No homo. |

The truly ironic part of this entire situation is that if he'd just have kept his mouth shut...he would have had what he wanted and been able to show his face around you guys (maybe). As much as I've wanted to come swing by sometime...I can barely spare 15 mins to take a **** these days...lol. Between family obligations and business doesn't seem like I'll ever get out to one...lol
But considering you guys have taken up interest in tracking....my priorities *might * have to change! P.s. This is where I would normally start new parody thread completely trashing Umar...but I think he does a good enoug job making himself look like an ass. |
