The other day, a guy pulled in behind me in slow traffic with his friends on scooters. He was riding with crutches propped up against his chest and seemed really burnt out. I heard him yell something, but I assumed he was talking to someone he was with. Then I heard "HEY!!!" so I glanced back while traffic was stopped, thinking something was wrong, only to hear "do a wheelie!" I just shook my head.

I was always embarrassed when I couldnt do a wheelie when people asked. lol

I was parked next to a couple buddies of mine with Gixxers and CBRs and we were just hanging out for the night at a local bar and city park. Two guys on really loud choppers with LED lights parks next to us and my friend had to know about the LEDs, so we went over. We talk to the two chopper guys, and eventually it came around what bike they prefered. When the older guy saw my ninja next to a white GSXR600, he started laughing. He seriously said, "What....is that a his and her's over there?" I replied,"What the two white bikes?" He replied, "Yeah, it just seems like only women would ride that, like a husband and wife." I replied, "Yeah...the one on the right is mine." He said embarrassingly, "Oh...that's yours...well you can just tell women would ride it more."

I smiled and left, there was no more reason to hang around him anymore. Women's bike my @$$, I have guys on bigger bigger bikes complimenting on how cool it looks. Oh well, can't please everyone.

I guess I need to find the "compliments" section. I get people ogling my bike its actually really weird since I put so much more work into the Ninja...

Today I got "sick dirt bike bro!" from some little kids. I was gonna explain the difference between a sumo and dirt bike but its ok they meant it as a compliment.

^ My neighbor said something like that to me. He said nice bike then asked what size it was, I told him 250 and he was in shock and said he thought it was at least a 650cc powered bike. He also rides a cruiser but I've only seen it out once so far.

And I've been told my headlight was out, only to point out to them it was my high beam.

Engine CC is kind of a weird metric to judge a bike by really. You can get big cylinder bikes that are slow, inefficient, can't corner, uneconomical, rubbish at braking and ugly. You can get small cylinder bikes ( like the ninjette!) that can beat bigger cylinder bikes in every mentioned category.

A couple of weeks ago, I was at the gas station filling up on the way to the track. Had both the ZX6RR and 250 on the back of the truck. This dude comes up and starts complimenting me on the bike and then asks what cc they are. After I tell him he goes "man, I though you knew..". I was like WTF you talking about? Told him you don't need a liter bike and ain't nothing finer than making a pass with a smaller bike in the turn (rare for me on the 250 still

). Pretty typical attitude from most people I guess but still gets on my nerves.

So I stopped at a gas station to pick up snacks today and I walk out to see this guy and his fine girlfriend are sitting there staring at my bike. I'm mean gawking, he was kneeling down, checking it from different angles. I walk out of the store and I pull my shaded visor down cause it was bright outside. The guys sees me walk over and asks "Hey man, Can I ride your bike?" I looked him dead straight in the eye (from what I could see) and said "Sure, if I can ride your girl...." His chest all puffed up and said "dude, don't you ever talk about my girl like that I'll fu**** kill you man" I just stared him down thru the visor put one finger in air and said "Exactly, now you understand how I feel" Got on my bike and rode off. Now I'm not one to pick or even goad a fight, but my heart was racin' a little bit the way I saw him lookin at my baby and was ready to throw down if need be. That was my interesting night....

At work the other day, I went to get something from my ninja. As I approached, I saw a woman was looking at my bike. She said how nice and clean the bike looked. She asked me why so many flies were crawling on my bike. I explained that I just waxed it and for some reason bugs are attracted to it right after it's waxed. She looked at me and replied " if I were a bug I would think your bike was a cute flower, I would want to land on it. I didn't have a response to that lol I just did an awkward laugh. I felt less manly knowing I'm riding a " cute green flower"

Parked my bike at a friend's house last night. Random guy on the street walks over, drools over the bike as I'm getting my helmet off, and asks, 'So, is that a Ninja?'

Because I put Ninja decals on a Ducati? Yes, it's a Ninja.

'Are you a Ninja?'

...Yeah, sure.

(I'll give him I had a black headband on to keep my hair out of my eyes under the helmet, and a black scarf with air filter to keep the LA smog out of my lungs...)

At least he didn't ask if it was a 600...

Around Fall, I've noticed that the Yellow Jackets are aggressively attracted to Candy Plasma Blue in the South. I know their diet changes from sweet to meat or vice versa at some point in the year, and that probably explains the sudden interest where they buzz all over it at every stop... even stop signs and stoplights.
