Rate my chair/10 - sparco
Hey guys, I finished building this about two weeks ago. It's been a very long road -- I've ass-tested quite a few racing seats, and finally settled down on the feel/fit of a Sparco Corsa circa 1999. Broad shoulders, narrow waist, V-shape upper body type.. etc ad nauseum.
Sacrificed a rolling/reclining standard desk office chair to build this after my cat tore up the original seat. Took a while to get the balance point correct and I flipped over on my back a fair few times before I got done with the prototypes and put this one together. This is still a work in progress, the chair feels nice but I need to add a few more features. Arm rests would be nice, a cupholder would definitely increase the sweetness, as with a cigarette holder and ashtray, along with a few other features. So anyways... lemme know how I can make my chair sweeter. Posting from a sparco. Corbeaus, momos, brides.. none of them seemed to fit me the way this one does. Shoot. (plz excuse the beer cans, my cat enjoys PBR) |

Oh come on CC, can't you just play by the rules?
(My ultimate plan is to get a sub-ten rating and then use this thread for ideas on how to improve the chair.) I'm thinking of a built-in ashtray holder and roach clip, maybe a platform underneath with a locking box for various accouterments with provisions for a gun holster, tobacco waterpipe holder, maybe some armrests... I want to keep it simple but functionally aesthetic. I never foresaw asking the internet for tips on how to build a cooler throne. |
