Kenda tire question

I bought a kenda 671. I am confused on the direction of the rotation. I always thought the “v” tread of the tire, the way the “v” is pointing is the rotation of the tire. The sidewall show direction of rotation is backwards from this. Is this normal or do I have a mislabeled tire?

I am not sure why it turned the photo. This photo is how I think it should go, the tire would be rolling toward you in the pic, but the sidewall say differently

It's not mislabeled. Follow the arrow on the sidewall, not what the tread looks like. Some tires are rated for both front and rear use though, and the direction of the arrows on the sidewall can be different depending on which wheel you mount it on. If that's the case it'll make that clear.

Bike tyres have lenticular contact patch that pushes water outwards, even with slicks and no tread. Have to be going about 100mph to aquaplane.

That's why I was surprised that I had to put a new tire on my 250 to pass safety inspection. A couple of the rear tire wear bars were just barely starting to hit the pavement. I need to find another inspector like the guy who used to do them near me.
