----------------- The lightweight class received no warm welcome from Aragon on their return to action and riders took to the track on a cold surface while teams wrapped up warm in the pits. However, gravel traps did not get too see much activity and times got significantly quicker by the end of the 40 minutes. Darryn Binder made the best use of his final flying lap to post the only 1:59 time of the morning, the South African over three tenths of a second quicker than Celestino Vietti.
